  • Re: OWLERS "Stepping Back" thread

Thanks Emma! I think I will just keep posting it instead. This way I have to really concentrate more on what I am doing and hold me more accountable than just showing the log in. Something about fessing up to what I'm doing! LOL

I had my weigh in today. Did not lose, but did not gain, so that is good, since I was not particularly good last week.

    Yesterdays totals.

    Breakfast
Fiber One cereal 1 cup with 1/2 cup soy milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/2 cup blackberries
    2 eggs
coffee with 1 tbsp of cream

    Lunch
Loaded Salad: 2 cups of romaine, 1/4 cups of mushrooms, 1/3 cup cheese, 1 strip bacon, jalapenos, 3.5 chicken breast, 2 oz ham, toasted soy, 5 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cup of cucumber, 1 slice of onion, 2 tbsp blue cheese

    Dinner
    Chicken salad
    7 oz of white wine

    1 wasa sourdough crispbread

Oh it was totally making me crazy. There is much champagne in my immediate future. 10k raise, 3 weeks vacation, 401k - and it's what I have been studying at night for! I am hardly speechless, but if I were the sort of person to become speechless, I would be.
              Thank you, Emma!!

Well guys, I am heading out for vacation in the morning. Down 2 more lbs!!! What a way to start a trip. Heading to Wally World, so I should get lots of walking in. Going to be a good challenge for me to keep on track.

Thanks Julie! I am here at the Condo and we do have internet access! That is the good news. The bad news is there is no workout facilities, and worse yet, no outdoor grills!!! How do they expect me to stay on track, if I can't grill??? The kids already want us to go out for pizza at Giordano's! I think tomorrow night we will do that. We will do the stuffed pizza, and I'll just skip the crust!!!

Yesterday wasn't too bad considering getting up at 4:30am and finally getting into Orlando this morning at 1am!

                      Yesterdays meals

                      Breakfast
                      2 eggs
                      1/2 cup greek yogurt
                      1/2 cup blackberries
                      Cherrios
                      1/2 cup of soy milk

All the rest was in the car on the road!

                      Lunch
Ham and swiss sandwich on whole wheat high fiber bread (4 oz of ham, 1 oz swiss cheese, 2 pickle stackers, 1.5 tbsp mayo, 2 slices of bread)
                      1/2 apple
                      1 oz of almonds

                      Dinner
                      8 oz of Chicken salad
8 small grapes (in the chicken salad)

                      Snack
                      1 oz of almonds

I'm down 2 more pounds this week to 174! (But I wonder how long that will last since TOM will be approaching soon, grrrr.)

I kept track of carbs in a notebook this weekend (since I was out of town) and ate around 80g on both Saturday and Sunday. I was absolutely RAVENOUS after Saturday's class, and I ended up eating almost ALL of the food I brought for the weekend on Saturday alone! (I brought turkey, string cheese, veggies and dip, celery and peanut butter, peanuts, and a couple atkins bars.) So I know my calories were probably higher than usual...but seeing as I've actually lost these pounds by eating MORE, I'm not too worried!

                          Congratulations Julie! That is great!

Well, I have been staying pretty much on task, but not able to log what I have been eating. We went out for pizza on Sunday night at Giordano's and got the stuffed pizza. I stayed away from the crust like a good boy!

The mornings have been easy since we are here at the condo. I do the usual eggs, whole grain cereal, milk, and either greek yogurt or cottage cheese with berries in it.

For lunch, we have been making sandwiches on whole grain bread to take and then we take a break between parks. Today it is tuna on whole wheat for me, with a few grapes mixed in. I think I will also slice up an apple and takes some almonds for snacks.

Last night we ate at Epcot at the French restaurant where I had the duck with green beans and a glass of red wine.

I have been getting lots of walking in. There is no exercise equipment here, but miles of trails, so I get in about 4 miles each morning and then I am getting lots of mile in at the parks.

As Tigger would say, TTFN, Ta Ta For Now!!!

It has been a rough couple of weeks with the holidays, but it is time to get back on track. Even still I did lose 1 pound, which I thought was quite a feat with going of vacation and Christmas. I am 11 pounds from goal and hope to get there within the next couple of months. I have not imput hardly anything in the past couple of weeks, but as of today, I will log in every meal.

                            How did everybody else do?

I feel bigger--but I had 2 weeks with lots of drinks here and there, some LC treats (like SF chocolates, LC cookies, etc.) but by only a couple of pounds. I'm probably between 175-179.

I'm cutting back to Rung 3, which seems to work well for me. I'm not going to weigh myself until February. I've got to stop worrying about the scale and focus on how I FEEL.

Don, glad to see you back. Congrats on the 1 pound.

I'm UP, had a day where I completely fell off the deep end. But, I've been good ever since then. Im around 180 lbs. Still below my goal, but I really would like to be back about 175 lbs again.

I've got to accept that I Cannot Have dairy or nuts or processed meats and still reach my goals. I was still bargaining around that one, which is why I'm up in pounds from going on that one binge.
