WOW! It's nice to see so many people join us here. Welcome everyone!

Thanks Hrg and Mitzi for the voice of confidence. If you lost 7 pounds too Mitzi at 187, then maybe I'm not doing too bad. LOL! Here I go again comparing myself to others. Sorry. But it's still a relieve.

Food, exercise, H20, Supplements, everything has been great. I'm happy with my progress so far and determined to make goal this time around.

Menu for breakfast yesterday and today was the same: 3 fried eggs in olive oil and 1 tbsp of salsa.

Lunch for both days: Turkey salad with mixed greens, cucumbers, 1 oz of cheddar, and 1 tsbp of ceaser dressing.

Dinner yesterday was Chicken Salad preped with celery, mayo and mustard over 1 cup of lettuce.

Dinner today will be 2 pork ribs with a side of some veggie. Not sure what yet.

Oh, and ofcouse, I'll have jicama as usual for snacks.

Good Morning everyone ..........day 9 for me and still going strong ......... I tried Sunny's chicken and guacamole recipie this morning for breakfast and it was awesome!!!!! I am still satisfied and it's 11:30 ........ Love that feeling! I've been keeping my foods and my water up great slacked alittle on my excercise over the weekend and yesterday but jumped back on that train this morning. I did 30 min on the Elliptical plus my challenges and plan to walk to get Caleb from school which will be a great trek for me pushing two in the stroller .......

I was down just .2 on the scale today but any downward progress is good to me ....... Mitzi I really don't honestly expect to lose another 5 this week but you wouldn't hear me complaining if I did ....... I'm pretty realistic about these things but always try and keep my hopes high and my goals up there too .......

It sure sounds like everyone is doing awesome ........ having a group to relate to and share with along the way certainly helps.

LOL! Nope, I don't chill it. I fried it until it was wilty (which took a while; broccoli slaw is firm and crunchy), then I ate it warm. I'd never done it this way before... that bag had been in the fridge a while, and needed to be eaten or tossed. I didn't feel like making slaw with mayo/apple cider vinegar/splenda and that hot skillet with grease was just sitting there, so I tossed it in. It was actually very good... it reminded me of the inside of an eggroll. I LOVED Chinese food "back in the day", but don't eat it anymore. This was a nice surprise, and I will definitely do it again.

OUTSTANDING JOB ON THE EXERCISE, ADENA! WOOT!!

Well, I said I wasn't going to eat eggs and chicken for every meal and I didn't--just breakfast and lunch!

            Here's the deal:

            Breakfast: 8:30 am
            1 fried egg, butter (cluck)
            warmed chicken, butter (cluck)
            guacamole

            Lunch: 1:15 pm
Salad of fresh-picked baby greens, basil leaves, spring onions, dark chicken (cluck) with orange poppy seed dressing (yum)
            2 deviled egg halves (cluck)

Snack: 4:00 radishes, raw turnip with cream cheese

            Dinner: 6:30 p.m.
BBQ beef brisket (moo) (Dry BBQ rub, then vinegar mop)
Stir-fry veggies: asparagus, broccoli, crimini mushrooms, snow peas, green onions with butter & EVOO

Lots of left-over BBQ beef for tomorrow. More chicken, too. Later in the week I'm moving on to seafood. I'm still creating and testing recipes, but they are all Induction legal.

            Sunny!

Deal! I think every day what a shame it is that I love to cook and don't have a soul doing Atkins to share the food with. The Shenandoah Valley is beautiful, so I think all of you should move here and let me feed you! UVA would start you out at about $80,000 a year.

                    Reflections on Today:

                    - Reporting in here is definitely having an effect on my food choices. Although my calories are fairly high, I really could eat more. But I don't, because I know I can do without it... it's more of a want to eat, than a need to eat.

                    - I'm loving that I am able to get my fiber up again! During those 2 weeks, I was averaging about 15g of fiber... waaaay to low for me. I am used to at least 25g, and have gotten as much as 50g before. Good ole' MUP with almonds... that concoction alone has 15g of fiber in it. It's nice to be "regular" again.

                    - Need to get another eye of round roast; that was the last of it today. I don't use deli meat... I just get an eye of round roast, season it, and throw it in the oven in one of those bags. Easy! They're easy to slice and take along.

                    - I LOVE my new running shoes! I am SO pysched!!

Good Morning everyone ............ It's day 10 for me and it's going great ........ I guess I'm a little different then everyone because I don't hate induction in fact I love it ............ I love the feeling I have when my boundaries are so defined I don't have to worry about messing up and everything is laid right out there for me rule wise ......... I know it doesn't change much as you add the rungs but I guess I am just a very structured person when it comes to things like this and I love the structure of induction. I will probably sit here on extended induction for awhile ...........

I got my turbo Jam stuff yesterday and did the learn and burn one last night to get ready to start right in witha full work out today .......... I'm excited about it I think I will really like it and enjoy mixing it into my work outs.

                        Have a fabulous day everyone!

Mitzi -- you were rockin' with your food and exercise yesterday! Sounds like you are doing great on the C25k program. Enjoy those new running shoes -- the right shoes make SUCH a difference.

This is day 3 of induction and I've worked out 4 of the past 5 days, with plans for tomorrow morning, too. Will probably take Friday off, and then 3 miles with my running group on Saturday morning.

Well, I haven't posted in a while because things have been getting really hectic at work with the end of the school year quickly approaching, but...eating has been on track, water intake has been great, diet soda intake way down (have only had diet soda when we went out for dinner), exercise has been sporadic at best, but at least some is getting done. I did lose another pound this week, so that's good.

I bought some new exercise DVDs...Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and The Biggest Winner Complete Body Workout. Have to get started with them.

Looks like everyone is doing great with the Back to Basics...hopefully, I'll be able to post on a more regular basis soon.
