Hey everyone .......... Ozlover gave me the link to this post and I have just spent the past 30 minuets reading through the whole thing ........ this is something I so so need ........... If it's ok to be a late joiner I am in 100% I have a million and one reasons to justify why and how I have gotten so far off track but I won't go into details here ....... it's just life, some rough life but life none the less and I guess learning to make it through the rough patches is part of this whole journey ........

I have been sticking to doing my challenges excercise wise because for me excercise is my sanity ....... not hard core fat burning stuff but my abs, stab ball, squats ect ........ what I need to do is add my good fat burning portion to that and stick to this WOE which I have been horrible at ....... iindulging on whatever I feel like and even when knowing the consequences doing it anyway ..... I'm so frustrated with myself. I was down to 176 just 4 months ago and have let myself go to 202 this morning ....... thats 26 lbs I now have to relose ........ and I was up 2 more then that a few days ago ...... I"m embarrassed to even write this but I know in order to get by butt back in gear I need to be accountable.

    My plan is this ........
    * Strict induction for two weeks and then up the rungs from there probably several weeks at a rung. we'll see how that goes.
    * Continue with my challenges ......
    * Water water water ....... I've been really bad at this
    * Some sort of heart pumping excercise each day for now my treadmill, elliptical or a walk , but hubby ordered Turbo Jam for me this morning so I am going to start doing that.
    * posting here regularly
    * getting back into fitday and keeping strict track of what goes into my body
    * basically geting back to basics and back to what works!!!!!!

Thanks for this post ........... it's exactly what I need .......

    Heidi

Good monday morning. Well, since I don't use a scale I have to tell you its not so easy to measure weightloss, but it's easy to measure success, 14 days of low carb eating and meeting that goal, well that's success. Yesterday as I was sharing elsewhere my daughter, Caitlin had a melt down. At one point I shared that I so knew where she was. I decided to show her that I too had made some bad choices, that I too gain weight when I don't eat right. I went and pulled out the size 6 jeans, and they zipped and snapped, which they did not do last week at all. I grabbed 2 pair of my favorite shorts, to again make a point and the shorts also zipped and felt better...she looked at me like, "so what do you mean you gained weight"....
Clothes have changed over the course of these last 14 days, gone from terribly tight, to snug! That is a good thing! I am proud of that.
Now to face behaviors with foods....Time to face maintaining and control. But that's all good!

    Good Evening, All

I'm happy to report that at this morning's weigh in, I was down 2 pounds. Wish it could have been more, but it is actually exactly what I expected and I am pleased with it.

Today I attended a luncheon given for the parents of the graduating seniors of my stepdaughter's sorority. The meal was very carby and I didn't eat very much of it. It was fun to dress up, though.

Breakfast: 2 fried eggs, 2 pieces of sausage, 2 pieces of bacon (had breakfast at my mom's house)

Lunch: salad of mixed greens with balsamic vinegarette, cucumbers, and tomatoes. I picked some chicken out of the Mango Almond Stuffed Chicken Roullade (sp?), and didn't touch the pesto mashed potatoes or carmelized carrots in bacon. And to tell you the truth, none of it even appealed to me. The one thing that DID appeal to me was the slab of cheesecake topped with blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries in a sauce. I put my napkin on the table in front of me, in hopes that he would get the message that I didn't want any, but he sat it on top of my napkin. I asked him to take it away. So, I survived.

    Snack: 1 ounce American Cheese

Dinner: Hamburger patty topped with provolone cheese; cup of mushrooms sauteed in butter; 8 cherry tomatoes

I don't have any Fitday numbers today, because I just don't feel like trying to guestimate the food that I didn't prepare. I think I did fine on food.

    - Drank 72 ounces of water

    - Took Supplements

    - No exercise. I DID help Barry bathe our 3 Labs, so at least I expended some energy. They are a handful!

Long work day in the boutique tomorrow. Have a great week, everyone!

    Hello All,
I'm still on track food and water wise. DD has the flu. I've been nursing her back to health. I've been handing out Pro-biotics to everyone in the house. It really helped Sierra feel better. I'm hoping it keeps the illness away from DH and I.
Nicer weather today so I took moments outside for fresh air and some rays. DH cleaned flower beds.

Qbu and Elsy! Look at you two!! Losses already... very well done, ladies.

Oh Elsy, I have such a problem with portion control at times. You'd think that I would be over that kind of thing by now, but I'm not.

Jess, that big, bad whipped cream got you, eh? LOL... not to worry, you'll be fine. I wonder why it is that we can seem so gung-ho on some days, and so ho-hum on others? I am definitely like that.

PT and Porcelain, I'm glad to see that you are both staying on plan.

Tomorrow is my weigh day... I'm so curious. Part of me just knows that I've lost something, and part of me is scared to step on the scale. Brings back OWL memories.

I'll be back later with today's summary. See ya!

Betsy, last year when I had my lab work done, I noticed on the test results that they just wrote the word "ketones" on the report - so, while they did note that they were in my urine, they didn't bother with a number measuring the quantity. I'm thinking that it really doesn't matter - either you're in ketosis or you're not. You're in!

well, standing ay 150.5.......for 3 days now! GGRR! that is ok...i have not exercised since wed when i went to the doc. i just felt wiped out that day. thurs. i flaked and my son was here when i got home last night so i just hung out with him.....excuses!

I shared on my journal yesterday, that Thursday night I ended up eating tons of Salmon. I had planned to eat no more than 10 oz. YEAH right..

I ate like 1.5 pounds all by myself. I know. It was just deicious. The good thing is that I still lost weight. Like Cher says, think of fish days like weight loss days. So I'm down to 186.

    My menu yesterday was:
Breakfast: 3 fried eggs in 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1 tbsp of green salsa
Lunch: 1 cup of mixed green salad, 3 thin slices of turnkey breast, 2 tbsp of LC Ceasar Dressing, 3 small peppers
    Snack: 2 slices of Jicama
Dinner: 2 big beef ribs, 1 cup of mixed green salad with 1 tsp of dressing, 2 oz of mozerella cheese

About 168 oz of water and all my supplements. Still no time to exercise. I promise myself I will do it today and tomorrow for sure.

Today's menu is pretty much identical to yesterdays. Gotta eat the left over ribs. Happy weekend my friends.

Well, I haven't been in here since Tuesday because the week got so hectic...but...I had a good week food wise and exercise wise.

Ate a lot more veggies than I have been...portions have been much better...have more energy...and after not losing anything for quite a while...I've lost 3lbs! Very happy about that!!! I knew what I needed to do, just needed the kick start to get going again.

I have to get ready to go to work my second job, then DS is going to spend the night with grandma. DH and I will have some time to go do some errands and then go to dinner...maybe even go to a movie.

    Have a great day!

    Good Saturday morning,
I feel good today. Trying to get motivated and rolling, I am off on a bike ride with my husband and I'm just not up to endurance type stuff and here we go!
I've been eating less and less, and yet got into a good batch of whipped cream yesterday...
I seem to have one very highly charged day, full of busyness and intensity and then a low key following, where I am tired and not so motivated.

    Thanks on the congratulations.

I ate good foods today but just not enough. I was studying at a friend's house and felt like I was getting sleepy so I drank a diet pepsi. I didn't too much like the way it made me feel. I walked around at her house too, she lives in the country so we walked around and climbed some boulders.
