Re: Buddy List Aug 11 and onwards
Hi Sassy1, it’s nice to meet you.
Vek, I admire that you have no fear of pictures. I hate having my picture taken. As big as I am the film makes me larger and shows all other problems with me. I am not photogenic at all. But, I enjoy seeing others pictures. Hey, think of this, if all remaining 10 pounds is in your belly, its still isn’t as big as mine. I can’t wait to get to where you are. And as a trainer, you will keep your weight off with no problem! Way to go girl!
Hope – I know what you mean about eating great on this diet. I miss very few things now. At first, I couldn’t stop thinking about diet coke and a few of my other addictions. But now….with all this good tasting food, I actually am finding out (with new taste buds) that some things are awesome and others are just plain gross. In fact, DH keeps telling me that perhaps I should go back to induction because I’m enjoying my deserts too much! Ooooo-la-la! I love that cheesecake. On another note, nobody has noticed my weight loss yet. I’m not even looking for any encouragement from people outside of my DD & DH. In fact, I can almost count on someone saying something to me that could be interpreted as an insult. Most of the people I know aren’t over weight, so they have no clue how disturbing this problem really is. In fact, when I’m at parties, it’s a given that somebody is going to ask me if I’ve eaten yet, then the conversation goes into questions like “Well did you like what you ate”? It’s like if the fat lady hasn’t eaten, then the food must not be good. I truly pray it’s not intentional, but when it happens, it sure does feel like it.
Elsie – Bill and I looked up the TENS machine online last night. It looks like a useful tool to fight against pain. He’s going to try to find an inexpensive one for me. In the meantime, I’m hoping the pain subsides before he needs to actually make a purchase. This morning I’m feeling a little bit better, but all this darn sitting I do on the job all day, it’s hard to battle it. I get up and walk around every hour on the hour now so that the pain doesn’t set in too much. And about your animals! They sound so precious! I bet the little one fights for bed rights too! Do you both find yourselves at the edge about to fall off? When Rusty was younger and could leap onto the bed, he used to lay smack in the middle, legs in the air, and content that he succeeded in separating me and Bill. Now, he’s learned that he’s still the baby, and is supposed to be on the floor. LOL! One last thing, I can’t wait for the day that you get on this board and tell us how you’ve turned your Aunt into an Atkineer, with your continued success, you can be a real inspiration to her. I like Hopes suggestion of showing your Aunt the Diabete’s section of the book. And hey, it’s amazing what we do for/with our kids. Speaking of hair dye, here’s a funny for you that happened in July. Myself, DH & DD & and DD’s friend Susie Q took a road trip to Pennsylvania, we went to Hershey Park. Yes, loaded with chocolate there! And yet, none of us wanted any when we got there, we were all grossed out by the smell of it. There was too much aroma wafting in the air and drowning our sinuses. Anyway, I dyed my hair red. I thought it was going to just give an auburn effect over my dark brown hair. But, that’s not what happened. So, I decided to let it wash out over time. We were standing in the sun and Bill turns to me and says “WOW…..You look like woody woodpecker!” I was mortified, because it was then that I realized people were smiling at me, not because I was smiling and happy, but because my hair was so hideous. From now on, I will be toning it down just a bit. LOL!

I'm sure all the activity and stuff from yesterday helped in my weight loss but yeah...I'm sure going to the gym would be more productive.

I have 10 lbs to loose until my next mini-goal, wich is BMI under 30, no more obesity.
Now, with digital cameras is even easier. You take 300 pictures and from 300 one must be acceptable.

and she feels alot better!
