    the peppers are the only thing?
    this is part of the beauty of going up the rungs. induction is more strict with fewer choices but then a whole world of new stuff can be added.

    i'll tell you something, i used to not like certain things but something happened and i like things now that i would have never given a second thought before.

      I edited that to add mushrooms, if portabellas are okay, then I am golden, lol. Stuffed portabella mushrooms...YUM. OH WAIT....OMG...LOL....It's moot, Saturday is my last day of induction, ROFL, problem solved!!!

            Sausage/ham/bacon, cheese & egg...breakfast
            Crabmeat and cream cheese
            Sausage, pepperoni, mozzerella, crushed tomato, garlic, oregano, basil (pizza shrooms)
            Ground hamburger (browned),chili powder, crushed tomato, jalapeno..topped with cheddar
            Sauteed zuchinni, onion, garlic, peppers...topped with parmesan

            The possibilities are endless....

              Boy, there's sure not a lot of bang for the buck with those lettuces, is there?

              Endive (1/2 cup) is only 0.4 NC. Well, I sure squashed that endive in to get that half a cup's worth!

                        Since i will be on rung one (try saying that 3 times real fast, lol), I should have 15 to 17 veggie carbs, right? (net carbs of course.)

                          I so thought that I was getting enough- why do they say loosly packed then? I can understand loosly packing the other veg- but the lettuce? Yesterday I tracked my veg carb and it was only like 7 net grams! and I ate 2 cups of salad (comprised of romaine and tomato and cucumber) and 4 large spears of asaparagus...I eat almost the same thing everyday! I guess this will totally encourage trying all the veg listed on the acceptable lists!

                            can someone tell me how I can get more bang for my buck?

                            I sauteed mushroom and yellow peppers today and had with romaine- only 3g net

                            should I stop measuring and have a bit extra? I only eat 2-3 pieces of cheese a day about 4oz

                            maybe I should use spring mix with other veg?

                            I would love some suggestions from people that have successfully maxed their veg for the day

                              Well, for one, next week, I'm not getting any more lettuces with only a stinking 0.2 or 0.4 NC per half a cup! Got to make those two cups of salad count. Frankly, I'm getting quite frustrated because the closer I look at this, the more I'm realizing I'm getting more than 1 cup of Other Vegetables and not enough of the Salad Vegetables.

                              Someone clue me in: If we get only one cup of salad vegetables, does that mean we can have two cups of the other vegetables??

                                Unfortunately not. 2-3 cups of salad veggies. If you only have 2 cups of salad veggies, then it's 1 cup from the other list.
