  • Re: Weigh? No Way! Challenge #5

we make ours by cooking our skirt steak in a stainless steel pan on the stove in a mix of olive oil and butter. Once the steak is cook to our liking, remove the steak from the pan and the pan from the heat. Whisk in 2-3 tablespoons of heavy cream (a whisk is key to get all of the fond off the bottom.) Add pepper/spices to taste (we use Mrs. Dash original flavor)

I hope I got the ticker right and I saved the User Id and password. This is the best place for low-carb ideas to eat off-limit things, such as gravy and mousse! I've done Atkins so many times over the years and I've always been alone and sometimes would get discouraged and quit after a few months. Now I am actually motivated just by looking at that stupid ticker of mine! Of course seeing all the before and after pictures sure motivate me too. I'm so glad I found this place....

I would imagine you could put a dash of beef boullion in to add more flavor?

I must admit for me not stepping on the scale too much has kept my sanity. I'm not worrying about am I doing something wrong. I stepped on that scale a couple of times yesterday and because I had food and water weight went up. If I was looking everyday I'd get discouraged!

Scale free here too; didn't really look forward to stepping on it yesterday, it truly wasn't as big of an event that I thought it would be. I really like the idea of getting on the scales only once a week or less; it's growing on me more and more! In fact, I just took my measurements this morning and I've lost 3 inches in 5 days! I was shocked...even went back to make sure I did the math correctly..lol.

Sorry I wasn't posting every day. I thought I just had to do it once a week. So, I didn't use the scale at all last week, except on Saturday. Nothing to report really, I didn't lose anything.

However, I have noticed that my thighs, knees, rigcage, and arms are getting smaller (I actually had to go shopping for new undergarments because I've lost so many inches around my ribcage in the past 2 weeks).

I haven't weighed myself today. I'm hoping that next week I will break through and lose a few pounds. I've got to say though, not gaining makes me exceptionally happy.

once a week was fine, as i've said before, but more often would help me out.

the final post for the challenge will need to be done no later than
                              sunday, sept. 21.

                              congrats on feeling smaller!

Is there any particular exercise you could share that contributed to a great loss of inches in the ribcage area? I would like to shrink there as well. Thanks!
