Re: 2009 Read The Book Challenge
Yay, so glad I'm not out of the challenge. I didn't even log in this weekend because I hadn't finished my assignment! Went to the dr today, finished part 2 in the waiting room, and had blood drawn. I too was very interested reading about thyroid and learned so much! My hair has been falling out but I thought that was a side-effect of losing 92 (!!) pounds since starting last May. I am also constantly cold even though I still have a lot of insulation on me, haha. Dr will test thyroid among other things. It's going to be a long 2 weeks waiting to hear how things are looking in the health department for me.
The section about bingeing and eating off plan was the most interesting part for me because I'm a cheater! I didn't know that about myself before starting Atkins (I have always been a "rule follower") and I'm embarrassed that I can't say I've never eaten off plan. I have fallen several times and since reading about what to do if that happens, I realize that I'm really not alone. I don't feel like such a loser now.
Looking forward to a shorter assignment this week, though I am sooo glad to have joined this challenge and was forced to read every little part of the book so far. I NEEDED to have read all of this and feel newly empowered as I head into the second half of my weightloss journey!

LOL!! I just finished Part II. Babs
i'm glad to see the update! the only kind of loser you want to be is the one that is losing weight!

, it's always there, in bold, bright color or hidden in fine print.... exercise is part of the plan. atkins is no different.

revved up and doing something for 10 min. may not get the job done. I suppose it depends on WHAT the exercise is. 10 min. of jumping rope would definitely get my furnace revved, if I didn't fall flat on my face first, lol
