Friday March 26, I did not (could not) weigh myself. I was a bit down yesterday evening after seeing myself in the mirrors during ballroom dancing. I wasn't so sure anymore if I could see any weight loss. But this morning I felt better.
Today and tomorrow, no food containing salt and drinking lots of water. That will shed any bloating I might have.
Mini goals: - 92kg = 202.86 lbs: will get very nice shirt from my DH: - 87.7kg not obese anymore: - 79.2kg not on the heavy side anymore: - 73.4kg not lightly overweight anymore:
Currently:
-Climbing the Scafell Pike in England, 6180 steps. Done: 867 steps -President's challenge
Scale free today. Though wii fit keeps reminding me I havent done my body test. I guess she will be a happy camper on Sunday lol. I am now getting curious as to where I am at and just have to remind myself 2 more days.

good job everyone! most are staying strong and enjoying some side benefits from not weighing. i hope you've been really paying attention to your woe and your exercise.
as i stated before, i had a doctor appointment this morning. i wore my heaviest pair of jeans, my snow boots, a heavy sweater and had a hoody on besides. no way was the scale going to tell my true weight. i looked away, covered the numbers with my hand and ................
when my ocologist came in he asked if i've been having trouble with my weigt. first time ever he's asked me that. i suppose and i'm guessing that my attire showed a real weight gain!
anyway, ada, the lpn, said she had to weigh me but she wouldn't tell me what the scale said.

I was wondering what to do at the doctors. I have 2 appointments next week and I was sweating the scale part. I was just going to ask them not to tell me and hope that was ok. They wont let me go and not weigh, I have asked before because I didn't want to know.

april, i ALWAYS allow for doctor appointments. i know exactly what you are saying.......... they must weigh you, there is no option. so do what i did, wear heavy clothing if necessary but at the very least, look away, close you eyes and tell them you are in a no scale challenge and you don't want to know what the scale says. that always works for me.

No award this time, BUT I will continue with the challenge because I see it as really good for me. (I was happy with what the scale said, but the point is - what if I hadn't been?)

what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...) Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)

As I stated before, my bathroom is very small ... and I swear, that scale grew legs and creeped closer to me!! But, I didn't give in!!

Thanks for the laugh. It does seem like this doesn't it? I even pulled the scale out from under the cabinet and tapped it to turn it on last night! I was *this* close to hopping on. I am so glad I didn't tho. At least I have some self control.
