  • Re: 2009 Staying Cheat Free Challenge

Still good here... 29 days; admittely, I came close yesterday with cashews lurking in a can out in the open, in a 50-degree house after finding out there would be no oil delivered until sometime today. It may have been instinct from prehistoric evolutionary stages that gave me the craving under the circumstances, but with applied logic, the hot chicken soup did the trick!

Glad the chicken soup did the trick for you. I also have a canister of mixed nuts in my truck, hidden behind a bunch of stuff behind my seated. Out of sight out of mind.

Glad you got your oil delivered. No fun camping out in your own home.

Well...to be honest with myself I really have not been doing things right the last few days. I suppose I am still technically cheat free for 2009 since I have not eaten anything impermissible or gone over my carb limit, but I don't think I've been eating all my salad veggies every day and have missed several days of taking my vitamins.

I am going to regroup and get on track better tomorrow.

This sounds good. I am new to this site, I have been on induction for 3 days. I feel pretty good as of today. I am super nervous about messing up. I don't know wether I am eating too much or to little of certain things. I live in a small community with no grocery store so I am limited, but I am making the best of it. I did this to feel better mainly, I am sick of pills and food being my comfort. I have done this before but not properly. Now I really want to do this right. I am afraid to eat certain things though, and today I ate deer sausage as my meat, for lunch and dinner, but now I am freaking out because I heard it could have sugar and flour in it, what will this do to me? Agh! I would also like to know if anybody out there knows about dentyne gum, and if the odd piece is ok. My mom chewed it when she was on atkins and was fine, but I read that you can't, why is that, will it effect my weight loss. Thank you for being here.
