Re: Vidiots' House of Pain - Part III

    OK
Did todays thingy again, woow, I am really getting better !!!
    Makes me really proud !!
    YAYAAY US !!!!
My backpain is slowly going so I really think it WAS related to TOM, I still added some back strengthening work outs (hmm one seems an awfull lot like extra a**crampers though, yikes)
I measured this morning and I really lost some inches already, due to TOM though my belly is obviously bloated and so I don't feel that pretty LOL, but around my legs and arms there is deffinitely less me!
Today I even saw the scale go under 180, it was lingering between 180 and 183 since I started SI6 but I think all the muscles are getting used to working every day this hard, so now the scale starts feeling happy too LOL

Anna: girl you need to get better soon, so you can fully enjoy the torture (((HUG))) for fast restoration, I never even dared to look at BIU, is it THAT scary? I better wait a bit before I get discouraged!
I admire you for being sick and still doing this so good !! even though you modified it !

Lisa: GOOD for YOU for diving right back in, you got it tackled soon enough I bet !

Re: Vidiots' House of Pain - Part III

Soliwit, BIU is just more of EVERYTHING. Otherwise, it's very similar to RIU, so there's a real comfort factor there. For me, especially sick, the biggest difference is the extra cardio. That's not my strong suit, so the sweat just pours off of me.

Still feel lousy this morning. Hopefully I'll get better soon.

Jeans test update after 2 weeks - On step 5 and working on step 6!

This is a real example of how the scale lies (I've only lost 3 pounds since the beginning of this, and I'm sure most of that was water), and even the tape measure is untrustworthy (losing tiny amounts all-over and firming up WILL make your clothes fit better).

Getting to step 6 is going to be a big jump, though. I'm carrying a lot of weight in my hips, butt, and thighs right now.

Soooo sick. My flu is now the stomach flu.

Taking today off, and hoping for a fast recovery.

Aww Anna, I am so sorry to hear that, I really hope you get well soon!

I come in to report my next work out, did well again today, even on the abs now, so that backproblem is almost gone already.

That's just rotten, Anna! Hope you have a speedy recovery on that stomach flu.

Today, I did Burn and some ab work. Hubby fell on the ice when he took out the trash this morning. He's alright except for his pride. I made him some Atkins oatmeal cookies (his request) to help him "heal."

Have a great rest of the evening!

Another unwanted sick day for me, but at least I'm getting better.

Just checking in really quickly. I haven't slept since yesterday because we got some snow. I did workout Saturday - did RIU, 6pack and Limber. I'm going to try to get some sleep this afternoon and do BIU when I wake up.

Wish me luck. It's a mad house around here!

I wanted to get it done. I really did.

It's not going to happen today.

Tomorrow? Tomorrow is a WHOLE 'nother ball game.

                    BIU- Here I come.

I had some difficulty with my internet connection yesterday, so I wasn't able to log on. Bleh. Yesterday, I did ramp and abs. Today was back to Burn.

Hang in there, Anna. You'll be on your feet in no time!

As soon as the man is out the door, I'll be Burning It Up.

Let's just say I am *not* looking forward to reintroducing that workout into my life.

*puff* *puff* *pant* *whine* *whine* *groaaaaaaaaan*

                            13/36 - Done.

I moved up to Burn It Up today and uffdah! I'm feeling the need to confess to all my workout short comings though. Bear with me. LOL

It's going to take me at least the next two weeks before I build up to being able to coming close to matching that Squat **** rep for rep.

Squat section: Did okay up until the 2nd set of squat/side lift and side kicks. Managed *most* of the, but wished for death the whole time.

1st Ab section: I did it, although I didn't plie as low as she does for the elbow to knee crunches. Can those plie/calf raises suck any more? I don't think so - but still managed most of them.

Lunge section: BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah. Riiiiiiiiight!! Reverse lunges - rep for rep on the first leg - got them, but I didn't do the leg raise at the top. I just stuck to straight lunges. The down and hold? Yeah...got that, and I even managed most of the standing lunges for the first leg, but almost none of the down and hold after those bad boys. 2nd leg - again, rep for rep on the reverse lunges, but without the leg raise. Standing lunges- got all but two. Again, almost none of the down and hold after that. UGGGGGGGGH.

2nd ab section: I was so dead after the lunges, I got the standing alternating oblique and repeaters, but the side crunches I had to wuss out on about half way through. Managed most of the plie crunches, but had to gimp through the plie/calf raises. Standing double crunches had me suckin' wind like mad, but I did hang through the plie/side steps. Could do the down and hold on them though.

                            Water? Ohhhhhhhhhh yeah.

Resistance band work: standing row - check. double bicep - boy, those seemed really hard. Got through most of them - and I like those way better than the way we do them in RIU. They feel more effective. Double shoulder press was pretty ugly. Got through the first set and the alternating set, but only managed 4 of the last set. Triceps - got through most of the first arm, but not all of it, and all of the second arm.

                            Wish for death. Check.

@ss crampers? Oh. My. Gawd. OWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! How many fast reps does she think we can do after each set, for the love of pete?!! *whiiiiiiiiine* I got through the "I know it's going to cramp and burn, but that's how you build endurance in the muscle, so push through it" garbage, but didn't get through half of the heel to ceiling raises on each leg.

Pushups: Managed most of the first set, but only half the second set - and felt like a total wuss. But honestly, nothing like tripling the flippin' reps, eh?!

Abs? - Just did a lower ab crunch instead of the double crunch. The double crunches kill my back anyway.

Stretch and yoga: Thank God. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Time: 61 minutes in total. 602 calories burned. Max heart rate 189.

                            Ahhhhhhhh.
