      Today has been good, but I completely forgot to fitday everything! Sorry! I will certainly do better tomorrow. I did an hour of weeding, I am on my last glass for my gallon of water and am finishing up my vitamins. Food was good and I am sure I got enough calories in today.
      B: scrambled eggs with cheese, salami
      L: romaine topped with tuna salad
      D: pork chops topped with sourcream/parmesan gloop, mixed veggies

      Tomorrow is my weight day and I plan on hitting them hard.

        Water in! 1742 calories eaten; 15 net carbs percentages: 61/4/35 not too much outside exercise done since we've had storms all day. Fitday'd everything and no cheating!!

          Here are my May 1 measurements. I did not weigh myself because I am on a business trip and have no scale, so I will not be weighing for another 6 weeks!! Ugghhhhhhh! I may go into withdrawls!

              Well, well, well! If I knew that you ladies were going to do so well, I would have made this a tougher challenge! LOL

              Ok, so to address all of the stuff so far......

              Mckysugabowl, Anna7494 and bamababi, welcome aboard! Today is the first day so up until the end of today it is ok to join. Anyone who joins up past midnight tonight can ofcourse participate, but I will only be hosting this challenge until June 15th, so for a full 6 weeks you will have to continue on your own from that point on. I hope you all understand. I may run this challenge again, but I am going to do probably 6 weeks on & 6 weeks off. (not off program, just off hosting the challenge.)

              I measure my hips at the widest part. I too want to see the inches lost from that area.

              Yes Adena, you win the prize for the most embarasing photo! LOL (although you know I think you are stunning even when you look like you have a mullet!) And heeeyyyyyy, I wear the white bike shorts around here woman, are you mackin on my styles? LOL

              I have read all of the posts and some people seem to be forgeting the water component of the challenge. Just in commitment siggy's and stuff, this may or may not mean you! So here is a trick I use to make sure I get all of my water in. I use a special container in my fridge that holds my water alotment for the day. I drink all of it myself and the family knows it is mommy's water. Also I keep rubber bands around a bottle that I refill. I take one off every time I have finished a serving. That way I know how many more I need to get in and can stretch it out over the day so i am not guzzling it all at once. For those who need to build up to drinking alot of water, don't worry, the need to pee constantly goes away when your body adjusts.

              Now on to what happened with me today. I will post stats and pics in a minute....

              But, we looked at 2 houses today, I did upper body strength training and 5 miles, foods were great! All choices legal and recorded. I met my requirements. Vitamins down, water down and house chores are all done for today. Tomorrow is another day, but I will only worry about today My daughters pet bird died today so a bit of trauma here today. It has been pointed out that i have been MIA a bit lately, and let me just say I am so sorry if it seems like I am not around. I have tried to post every day, but please know we are selling our house and trying to find a new one, so I will be a bit busy, but I will try my best to check in on everyone at least once a day.

My dh says he can see a difference, but me not so much..... I will stare some more to see if I can tell yet. Oh well, 6 more weeks should make a bigger difference LOL!

                  Well, once again, my boobs look smaller! Grrrrrr, my arms are the same, but the shirt is baggy in the front compaired to the second pic, and my legs look positively puney! Skinny legs! I would rather a skinny waist! My butt looks different and I have lost the most inches in that area, around my lower half of my body and also around my chest and rib cage. Although these areas that I measure don't count toward this challenge, I still measure my upperchest, and ribcage. I also measure around my thigh 6 inches above my knee...... a little obsesed with inches yah think? LOL


                  Oh well, lets see what 6 weeks of being totally on track can do for a girl......shall we?

                    I work nights...so water is on the way down...vitamin taken when I get home, if I take it in the AM, i get sick..
                    I ran 1 mile, 100 AB lounge sit-ups...walking/running around work like crazy...busy night in the ER.
                    Food...good so far...haven't eaten hardly anything...
                    Have a good one...
                    So....I fell off the band wagon...BUT I'M BACK!!! More Ready than ever!

                      Hey CDRAKE, make sure to try and get your calories in..... you deffinately need to eat if you are working all night! I know what you mean about the vits in the morning, can't do it, I take em with dinner! Have a nice shift..... hope it's not a full moon or too busy.

                        soooo.....about the calories...it seems that i'm sometimes...well more often that not..short....
                        how does this all work? i get close to 1650, but not necessarily over. if i don't intake as many calories...and I'm burning more...isn't that a good thing?
                        i definatley eat...
                        tonights menu...
                        1. 2 eggs/1 sausage patti/1 slice cheese.
                        2. 1 sm. pork chop/ .5 c. green beans/ 1 c. salad w/ cheese/ ranch dressing.
                        3. couple slices of summer sausage. piece of pepper jack cheese.
                        4. 2 scoops of scrambled eggs w/ cheese and 3 slices of bacon... (breakfast)
                        that's about normal night shift dinner...
                        granted i only work 3 nights a week (13 hrs. shifts)...the other days i generally eat a little more.

                        well....what do ya think?

                          WOW !! May 1st already, and I'm verrry ready for this challenge. I just came back yesterday from a 5 day horse riding escape. The bad/good news is that is was in the middle of no where and catered 3 meals a day. Not to mention all you could drink beer and wine. I REALLY TRIED to behave, but I'm absolutely sure I tasted 'sweet' in the bacon & sausage, BBQ sauce on the ribs, milk added to the eggs, etc.

                          SO, I didn't gain, I didn't loose, and I believe I'll do induction again for 2 weeks to get me back on track. I'm not too far off, but just enough.

                          I did manage to get 15 minutes on the Nordic Track before collapsing. With a lot of work I hope to be up to 30 minutes within a couple of weeks.

                            Wow! It looks like we're all doing very well

                            CDRAKE1234 - that menu looks ok to me. Worth running it through fitday for this challenge though, if you haven't already. Have you worked out your BMR and how many calories you tend to burn exercising? From your exercise above I'd say you may need to eat more calories. It is not a good thing to not eat enough as if you eat under a certain level that you need the body may go into 'starvation mode' stripping out good healthy muscle and stubbornly clinging to the fat. HG prob has a more scientific definition. Also being hungry makes it far more likely that you won't be able to resist 'illegal' foods.

                              Hi All Reporting on how day 1 went:

                              Calories met
                              water - owed 80 oz, got down 92 oz! YAY
                              Exercise - 45 minutes on treadmill hill intervals burned 443 calories, plus some squats, tricep dips, lateral raises, and stability ball crunches. So I may have burned almost 600 calories, WOW!
                              Vitamin taken
                              DID NOT WEIGH THIS MORNING! this was so hard considering when I wake and go tinkle (lol) It is staring at me!

                              What else, tracked all in fit day, and I think thats it as I am still sleepy!
                              Great Day one, and raring to go on day 2!! I can't wait to measure on Sunday!

                                Ok y'all I got on the scale this morning for the first time in a couple weeks and here is the ugly truth: 195.5 lbs. So I've gained 5 lbs since last time I checked. Here are my measurements:

                                bust: 42"
                                waist: 38"
                                hips: 44.5"
                                bicep: 13"
                                forearm 9.5"
                                wrist: 6.5"
                                upper inner thigh 27" (this is what my waist should be lol"
                                mid thigh 23"
                                knee 16"
                                calf 14.5"
                                ankle 9.5"

                                yuck doing this has really made me face how disgustingly out of shape I've become...when you're thigh is as fat as your waist should be, you've got a problem lol.
                                So Anyways last night I did 56 minutes on the treadmill plus some strength training for my arms a few sets of bicep, tricep, and shoulder excercises with light 3 lb weights for toning. Once I lose some of this flab I'll go a little heavier with the weights lol.
