Great Kathy! Good for you! I'll put you down as "done"! I just love doing that!

Thanks everyone, for the comments about the house... holidaymakers are always happy there I must say, but the funny thing is, we lived there for a year at one time, and though it was an "easy" house (not an easy garden) it never felt quite like home. Perhaps that was because we'd just sold the old farmhouse I loved so much and where I raised my boys. This one always had that "rental" feel to me. Where I live now - in my mum's old house - is a bit of a mess... needs some money spent on it, and is only slowly getting sorted out (long story), but it is more homey.

Changover (tenants) day today. Hope to be back on this evening (depending on new people's arrival time) to finish up the challenge... or latest tomorrow. Who knows if I'll see a few more "all done's"? Hope so! Good going folks!

Hew boy! did terrible with this... although I did clean out my closet... also I did clean the house today. but only the bottom floor... kids live upstairs and made list of things to do for my daughter, so she can clean her room tomorrow and when son clean his room... (when **** freezes over) that'll be it! deligate... that's what I learned most! I really can't do it all and I shouldn't. My kids are able bodied and very capable of so much more than I have expected from them. Did the mileage challenge, abs challenge, 6 week challenge, presidential challenge... that was/is a lot! Feel so happy that I am healthier and aerobically stronger than a month ago. My yard is also a lot prettier... the work I did is so lovely! That feels good too!

Well, I'm still amazed and at awe, I got my chores done. Hubby helped last night and then I finished up today when I couldn't get on to ADBB this morning. The internet bugs must have something going on today.

Anyways, ladies, I'm done. I didn't honestly think I would be able to pull it off, but I'm done thanks to my hubby.

Jimmie---you were right, last minute push was hard, but well worth it. Hubby kicked in to help me. I bribed him though, if he helped, I go fishing with him this evening. Yep, we're going...lol...

                June Double Whammy Challenge Chores/exercise:
                1. Closets, DONE!
                2. Garage Organized, DONE!
                3. Light Fixtures Cleaned, DONE!
                4. Pantry, DONE!
                5. Fridge, DONE!
                6. Paint Holes DONE!

All in all, Sally, this has been an amazing month of challenges, and it's been a great pleasure going through this challenge with everyone. Thanks for all you do! I'll be looking for the Fall one...maybe...lol...depending on my school schedule.

It's so great to see everyone's progress! Thanks for sharing the moments!

Apple, I couldn't get on this morning either. You did an awesome job getting all that done.

Sad to hear though that jimmie had to use her feminine wiles to finish hers!! tsk tsk. I do declare it's amazing what lengths some people will go to.
                  Hope you know I'm joking

Sally, did you grow up in England or Italy? You have a beautiful rental. Just the scenery alone makes it so. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Not terrible at all Liz! You did two out of the three things on your list... and learned to delegate too! (something I seriously need to learn!). Besides, whatever you do counts as exercise on the double whammy, so it's all good! Come back for the autumn DW... maybe you won't have such a plateful of other challenges then. Thanks so much for participating.

Mickkey... you asked where I grew up. Not an easy question! All over the place! UK until 6 yrs; Libya until 12; Milan, Italy until 14; UK again until 18... then alternating between UK and Italy for several years each time, until I married in 1983 and finally got to put roots down in Italy!

So we’re done for June. Wow!

First and foremost: A huge round of applause for: Jimmie, Mickkey, Apple, Zencyn, Biogeek, Sweet Strudel and me for reaching targets. (Hope I didn’t forget anyone) I’m sooo proud of you all! Pms winging their way to you in a jiffy.

Gotta hand it to you all… lots and lots of hard work has gotten done this month… and lots and lots of fat and calories have gotten burned in the process. Fantastic!

I don’t know about you, but personally, I think this month jelled even more than last month. I was seeing much more ambitious chore lists, not to mention all those really cool before and after pics. Yep… it’s given me a real rush reading and seeing how very much we all achieved this month! Thanks so much everyone! You’ve all made this challenge wonderfully fulfilling for me!

Fullfilling, that is, in all but one respect…

Now I can almost “see” you thinking: “Hey! What more does she want??”

Well…see… I’m already thinking forward to the next DW Challenge, after the summer. And I think it would be absolutely terrific to have a huge return of all you “oldies” to the challenge, as a real backbone. But I’d also simply love to attract (and indeed had hoped to attract in May and June) some of us here at ADBB who have never exercised. Those who imagine (wrongly) that they can’t exercise for one reason or another. Or those who are simply nervous of starting up a more “usual” sort of exercise routine.

I’d be totally chuffed if the DW Challenge could serve as a springboard or a stepping stone (for new participants in those categories) to other exercise challenges and/or as a start towards making traditional exercise a regular part of their life. Don’t you agree with me and think that would be uber-cool? Oh, I’m sure you do! So, I need to put my thinking cap on, to see how to manage that.

Any ideas from you “old pros” would be super welcome!

See? I never let up! Always badgering you for something!

But I’ll say it again: This June you’ve all been terrific and done a whole load of of seriously hard work. Thank you!

                          CONGRATULATIONS ONE AND ALL!

Have a grand summer and hope to see you back here in the Autumn, for another round!

Sally, sounds like you have had a varied upbringing. I know that couldn't have been easy at times. Glad you've gotten to put down permanent roots. I believe that's important, yet I have moved so many times myself...not by choice. I want to stay put, but it's beyond my control.

That's a wonderful idea about getting others involved who've never exercised, or won't or can't exercise for whatever reason. I'll get back to you on that.

LooseShoes... 2/3 of your challenges is a whole lot more than nothing! And it's all a help towards weight loss, better health and getting into the habit of being more active.
I think those are the most important victories, don't you? So glad you found the challenge inspiring.
                                You did very well indeed!

Mickkey... there are pros and cons to a varied upbringing and a "mobile" way of life, don't you think? There are certainly some things I'd have changed if that had been possible, but many I would not. One positive thing is that when living in several different countries (I forgot to mention I used to spend every summer in France) one gains a certain "international" outlook that you can't get from short holiday trips.
Sorry you don't get to stay put as much as you'd like... maybe it's just a phase and you'll have a future long period of calm.

Thanks for saying you'll get back to me if you have any bright ideas on how to attract the more reluctant exercisers! Am always open to suggestions.
