    Great job everybody!
Apple - how great your DH organized the garage no matter what the reason! lol
MG - your yesterday sounds like how my days normally go
Caryl - you can come over and start painting on my house next - I have lots to do!

I finished up my desk today - still have some minor details to see to but now I feel so much more functional.

It is so much nicer to go in that room to do laundry now. I think I really ticked off a bunch of spiders, which is one reason I put off cleaning up that room. But, a little spider spray will help, I hope.

Cynthia, I'm not so sure my painting skills are that great, but you do what you've got to do. Good luck!

mickkey, were you ever able to get your pics figured out?

bio, you must have had a swimmin' hole instead of a yard. i'm glad it finally dired out enough to get soemthing done.

caryl, good to see you are so pleased with your laundry room. don't worry about the spiders, i am sure they will be back in due time. they are the fastest critters at making new digs i've ever seen! brush 'em away one day and they're back the next!

i'm going slow on the front porch project. i really don't know what i'll be able to accomplish out there. i've bought 4 plants/flowers and have to pot a couple of them. the one i did last week doesn't look too good so i may have to plant it somewhere else. money will probably run out from other things before the chore gets done but all in all, i got alot accomplished this month. this place is more like home than the other was and we were there over a year.

I'm still trying Jimmie. You guys might be interested to know I had a bug guy here recently to spray for spiders and he told me that spiders only have the means to make around 3 webs in their lifetimes. If you sweep down their webs weekly, they will eventually die because they will starve to death. They can't hunt down food, as you know it comes to them. I never knew that. I thought they could make endless webs. You just learn something new everyday if you pay attention.

I'm glad you're getting settled jimmie. Sounds like it's becoming home. We've lived here 14 years, but will be moving soon too. I dread it.

Here are my bushes I trimmed. Having a hard time getting the pics to load right but I hope you can see a difference between the before and after. It's so hard to keep them in a round shape. I was tempted to sqaure them off. But, I like round better verses square. I think it's looks softer, not as harsh. It was so hot the day I cut them. I could've sworn I lost 2 pounds, but didn't darnit!
See my big frog in the 3rd pic.

Here is the hardest weeding job I've done all year. This dirt is clay, and hard as a rock. Nothing much will grow here. I transplanted some hostas to another bed too.

trellis I put up: This plant is supposed to attract hummingbirds. We have a few come each year. Forgot the name of the plant.

I did a bit on the play area today. Had to cut it short as the girl was having a coniption fit over a bug.

Personally, your bug guy gave you a load of bull. I have several pet spiders in my lab, they make lots of webs. If you think about spiders in general, they use their web to capture food and then, must spin a new web the next night for the next meal. The cycle continues nightly. It doesn't matter if it's living indoor vs outdoor. If you're knocking down their webs on a regular basis, they will either move to a different place in hopes of catching a meal or continue where they are at. They just don't die because they used up their allotment of web silks. I will, however, be taking a biology of spiders class this fall, so maybe there are some bizarro spiders out there that only have a limited amount of silks, but I don't think so.

As far as your house goes, it's very cute!!!! I love what you did with the bushes and such. Can you take a close-up pic of that hummingbird plant? It looks like a couple of different plants, so I want to make sure.

Jimmie, it's been raining like crazy all day! Gully washers!!!! I'm just thankful that our house is on a hillside so that we don't have standing water per se.

On the good news side, the tomatoes that I'm growing in large planters (b/c it's been too wet to till) have some small, green tomatoes on it! I'm thrilled!

Thanks everyone. Jimmie I live in a very wooded area. We're out away from the city. I love this house and hate to move. I have a huge kitchen, it was what sold me on this house.

Gosh biogeek, now I really feel gullible and stupid. The guy was with Orkin and has worked there many years. I'll have to look this up on google. What kind of pet spiders do you have?

I can't get the pic much bigger without taking up the whole page. It is only one plant. I bought it years ago for my husband who loves to garden.

Mickkey, my intent was not to make you feel gullible or stupid, but if I did, I greatly apologize! I have a couple of rose-footed tarantulas, who just had babies about a month ago. I also have other arachnids such as a scorpion and a vinegaroon. We have found that the pest control peeps around here are quick at giving out incorrect information, especially with spiders since most people either fear them, loathe them, or both. I used to do research on brown recluse spiders a few years ago, but now I currently work on honey bees. When I'm bored with the bees, I'll go back to the spiders. Personally, I love spiders, but not crawling around my house.

With your plant, it may be best to get a small clipping of it or another close up pic and take 'em to your local garden center and have one of their experts ID the plant for you. They can then give you tips on how to make it flower.

                            Golly jeepers darn!
I had to look up my post to see what I committed to.... feel like I need to be committed somewhere! What was I thinking signing up for all this stuff! The exersize (mileage committment) has kept me hopping. Can't seem to get much done at once around the house so it never really feels done! Luckily my list is short so can still do it if a great surge of energy overcomes me. Between work, the kids, my committment to this WOE which requires at lot more extra cooking and not so much convienience meals, extra dishes due to extra cooking, exersize, exersize and more exersize... my house is well! a mess! but I really don't care! Am losing wt, feeling great and you know what? if I have to choose, I choose what I've chosen.
So, am happy! The house will always be there to clean!

good news is, the month is only about 1 1/2 weeks frome ending. just think of the awards and satisfaction you'll have displaying them!

bio, i learn something new about you every day. who knew you be sharing living space with spidery creatures! yikes!

mickkey, i'd love to live out in the country. it's where i am happiest. city living even inn this small burg is not for me.

it's starting to rain here and i was going to repot one of the flowers i bought. ah well, indoor work today. i have to change my bedroom around. some dork [[[raising my hand]]]]] put the dresser in front of the register of the bedroom. not completely covering it but enough to block air flow. so today i need to swap the dresser to the other side of the bed which means the bed will be moved, the cedar chest will be moved, the pictures that were so caregully placed will have to be moved. imagine how thirlled i am.
