      Re: Yoly's P90X challenge

Don't beat yourself up about yesterday, you are doing so awesome. You don't want to overdo either, may hurt yourself and then put you out of comission for a week and you don't want to do that.

Great job on the excercise tonite, I am so dreading tomorrow, and I am making myself go to bed in about 45 minutes so I can have a good 7 hours before Yoga in the morning.

I am feeling super tight in my back so I hope that the Yoga will help, I was actually thinking of doing Slim and Limber tonite just to get my muscles relaxed a bit but I am just going to do the Yoga tomorrow and hope for the best.

Good luck on waking up tomorrow morning, it's rought but once I have it down I really really enjoy it. Kind of sets the rest of the day, also if I get it done in the a.m. then I don't have to think about it all day. Once I get my early habit going on I start protecting it like a crazy person. I don't want to even miss one day cause I know how easy it is to start justifying sleeping in most of the time. I am my own worst enemy.

Anyhoo, I"m off to update my journal and then off to bed early, thank goodness, I am dragging!

        Re: Yoly's P90X challenge

So I got up early enough this morning to get in Yoga, It was still challenging but no where near as hard as it was last week. It amazes me how much my form has really gotten better in just a week, I feel so much stronger. Last week I couldn't even hold the plan position during the entire moves and I kept collapsing and falling all over the place but this time it was so much better this time.

Well I got it in and feel awesome for it, I am really seeing some really amazing results, and it has only been 9 workouts! I got on my size 10 gap jeans this morning, there was a definate muffin top thing going on but they were on, I didn't even fit in these jeans two weeks ago.

Also I had a pair of jeans on on Monday that my mom had altered and she gave to me. Well on last Monday they were tight and today they were so super lose on me!

I can't believe that I am seeing these types of results so quickly. It's totally awesome!

            Re: Yoly's P90X challenge

I'm sure when you weigh yourself you will have lost a bunch, you are doing everything to the letter so you don't have anything to worry about.

I got ready to workout this morning only to realize that I mixed up my days, yesterday i was supposed to do shoulders and arms and today was supposed to be Yoga. oops, no matter i just did shoulders, biceps and triceps today. I really pushed myself this morning. I used the 10 pound weights that were collecting dust in my closet for all of the bicep muscles, i moved up to 8 pounds for both shoulders and triceps. I really can't believe how much stronger I have gotten in just 10 workouts, seriously, back in the day there is no way i would have used 8 pounds for shoulders. ever!

I'm happy with the results though, my arms are all sore and achy right now but I definatly got in one great workout! Some of the moves I had to modify a bit, I did the first set of chair dips only to find that my wrist got really sore so the next set I did tricep kick backs instead. I think it's because I did Yoga yesterday, and then this was too much strain. Oh well, still got an awesome workout.

So i am sure that your excercise plan is going awesome! I am thinking about actually doing a little extra cardio tonite to make up for yesterday, food kinda sucked. Maybe I'll get ramp it up in there, not sure though, right now I feel ok but usually by the end of the day I am beat.

                    Re: Yoly's P90X challenge

WOW!!! Celebrating 90 days of hard work and commitment by having a sharp needle poke me repeatedly is not my idea of a good time but I am sure you are so excited about doing it. What do you plan on getting and where are you going to put it?

I used to want a tattoo back in the day but I am so fickle I know that I would pick one thing and go and get it and the next day would wish I would have gotten something else, so I would probably never stop. Another big deterent is that I am not into pain much, kind of a sissy about it actually. I thought I could handle it but when I got my nose pierced I knew that there was absolutly no way I could ever do something more painful then that.

                    Good luck!

                          Re: Yoly's P90X challenge

Great job on getting the excercise in early. I am really tired this morning. I worked out though, thank goodness.

Last evening I felt really tight along my neck both sides, which usually leads to a cramp in the middle of the night from laying on my side. I usually get this when I am working out too hard and pull with my neck some during the shoulder excercises. Anyway, I took some Ibuprofen and knocked out completely! I slept like I have never slept before except its always hard to get up in the morning when I take that the night before.

This morning I snoozed for like an hour and woke up with exactly enough time to get my excercise in, thank goodness, there was no way I was going to do it today after work, now way, especially since it's Friday night!

This morning I woke up really lethargic and did not and I mean really really did not want to excercise. I put the disk in and thought I might do a little bit of it and if I felt the pull on my neck I would stop and take a rest day. I was so exhausted. Anway, needless to say once I was in it I did ok. At first I started out slow but then I "brought it".

My body is screaming at me right now, my shoulders and arms are so increadibly sore as are my legs! I did about 50 minutes of leg work, kicks, squats, lunges, one legged squats, one legged lunges, wall squats, one legged wall squats, you name it I did it.

Thank God tomorrow is my rest day. THat means that I don't even have to think about P90X until Sunday. I need a nap and it's only 10.

Oh man, I really pushed myself this week, and even though I am super tired, kind of crabby and sore I am really glad that I completed week two and that I pushed myself more then I ever have before.

Week two done! Only 11 more to go!
