    Tks Bio... that's very interesting about the magnesium.

    The powder I was taking is called "Cacit Vitamina D3" by Proctor & Gamble. Each sachet contains 1000mg calcium and 880 U.I. (22ug) of Vit D3.
    I think they change the names in diff European countries though, so it's probably something else in the US.

      i've cut back on my calcuim.... no change
      cut back on the menopause supplement... no change
      i still have this infernal ringing in my head. so, back on the calcium, back on the menopuase supplement and i've made an appointment with an ob/gyn. i believe much of my problem (headaches, gain of a few pounds, wacko sleeping, etc.) are hormonal related.

      on other news, i finally broke down and invested $2 on pill keepers for jack and myself. now i load our daily stash into the keepers and i've got the whole week planned out. that lets me know when i need to buy more supplements, also.

            I use pill boxes, too. I have two of them, and mine have 8 slots in each, and instead of days of the week, little labels stating what goes where. My pills were too big and too many to fit each day's worth in one compartment!

            Funny story. I had forgotten that I switched multivitamins from a 50+ to a WOMEN'S 50+. Geoff and I take the basically the same supplements (we both use the pill containers) and poor guy just takes whatever I give him. He'd been taking a women's multivitamin for 2 days before I realized that I'd given it to him. So I have been teasing him mercilessly , asking him if his pre-menstrual symptoms have gotten any better or if his mood swings have lessened. Of course, he assumes I gave him the women's vitamins on purpose just so I could tease him...

              julie, that's what i'm afraid of... i'm going to end up with more pills than what the little section can hold. after i get done with the ob/gyn, who knows what else i'll be taking on a daily basis. i'm hoping to not take the needed hormones by pill but rather, drops or creams.

              jack does the same as geoff. he just takes what i give him, never questioning. he once told me "you could be giving me poison and i'd never know". i said "yep, now swollow those pills".
              too funny about geoff. is he in touch with his feminie side now? lololol

                He *has* been eating bon-bons and watching Lifetime a lot this week...

                His first reaction was panic. He said, you're going to tell everyone on ADBB about this aren't you!? And actually I had forgotten until today. He'll be proud of me that I went a week without telling anyone.

                With this candida-cleanse in full swing, I've got every single slot filled now. Not only am I taking my normal supplements (some of which are as big as horse pills anyway) I'm also taking extra anti-fungals. A third supplement case might be in my future. Good thing probiotics are kept in the fridge, or I'd certainly be using a 3rd by now!

                  What would our poor men do without us? At least they are good sports by taking these supplements! Every now and then, Jim will ask the same questions over and over about what he's taking..."what does this one do? does it come in a smaller size? you paid how much?" I swear, sometimes I think he's 12. lol

                      how is everybody doing with their vitamin/supplement regimines?

                      i feel like i'm taking a boatload of stuff these days. messing around with the Calcium with D, Calcium w/o D, adding another that i will drop as soon as the bottle is empty. sometimes i feel like my meal is mostly pills. some days i get them all, sometimes not. i ALWAYS get the multivitamin, B comples and the biotin. i make sure i get those even if i don't get the others.

                        I'm doing great with mine Jimmie!

                        Lets see, I'm taking
                        Calcium w/ D, bid
                        Omega Fish oil, tid
                        Centrum silver, daily
                        Fiber therapy, 2 once daily
                        L-carnitine, bid
                        pro-biotic, once daily
                        olive leaf extract, once daily

                        I feel fantastic. Also, after I started taking the L-carnitine, I found that my weightloss picked up. I'm also losing weight in different places this time. My stomach, which is my most weight, is shrinking faster this time. I've been reading more about amino acids and have been sharing them in my journal if anyone is interested. There was one I just listed the other day and I thought of you Jimmie. It's called Gamma-Oryzanol (GO). It's supose to releive the painful symptoms of menopause without the slightest need for hormones and or drugs. You may want to take a gander in my journal on it if you havn't already. It's something I'm concidering when I get to that point with my hormones. This is the best darn WOE for hormonal balcance, that's for sure.

                            garlic oil
                            yeast cleanse
                            oil of oregano
                            echinacea
                            olive leaf extract
                            glucosamine/chondroitin
                            flax oil

                            Geez, I think that's everything...
