Good girl! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair! Mine is so thin and limp. I have to keep it cut really short to have any body at all. It was naturally curly for most of my life, but when it fell out from the RSD and came back in, it is straight as a stick. I really need a haircut right now--maybe I'll have the energy for it soon.

Okay, Derby Girls, I made it through the day. I went out in 16 degree weather and volunteered at the Food Pantry and I didn't cave in and have hot coffee. Even though I had on a ton of clothes, I was frozen. RSD hates cold, so I was in misery. After shopping, I didn't get home until 3:30 and I grabbed some late lunch and jumped in bed to get warm. I woke up at 7:15 p.m., so no official exercise today. I had the bad dreams again today and it involved my daughter and my grandson this time, so I woke up feeling down. I can barely walk, anyway, so there's no way I wouldn't be doing myself damage trying. I'll just have to catch up on Saturday. At least, I told myself, it's going to be 10 degrees tomorrow and I can stay home!

I am feeling decidedly whiny about not being able to have hot tea or coffee, so tomorrow I will have hot lemon water. I'm going to make a pot of soup, as well. It's too cold to be eating only cold foods, and I love soup. I got lots of nice veggies at the store today, and I already have meat and broth to make it with. I will survive.

Back to bed for now, and I will look forward to tomorrow being better!

Great Pic Catherine! I love your hair. I have a appt to get my hair touched up and trimmed. I've been growing my hair out since on Atkins and its down to my bum. Very full, naturally curly hair. I've decided to keep growing it untill I reach goal and have a make over. Who knows, maybe we'll all meet at the Oprah Show and all get make-overs!
Tracey, Your menu looks great dear! I'm like you right now, not hungry and , well I have ketosis breath, says my DD, LOL I'm drinking tons of water too! It's nice to see you doing so great!
Hey KASS! I'm going to go and get me some crab now! That's it, LOL Thanks for noticing my ticker. That's all us Derby Girls headed for Chicago! It's going to happen, you know that don't you. I'll fly down and catch a flight out of S.F. with you and meet Marty in Colorado and meet, Sunny, Cat, Catherine, & Tracy, in Chicago. ( did I miss anyone?) It's a possibility! We're all going to meet goal this year anyway. We'll celebrate somewhere together I can just feel it!
CAT, Happy to hear about the scales Cat. Our body weight fluxuates so much through out the day. If I weigh everyday I make sure it's at the same time everyday. That's it, no more weighing for the day. Maybe we can have a challenge here where we have a No Weigh for seven days and see how many of us girls can win the challenge. Any Takers? Just a suggestion. Since we're all on track again and focused, it would be fun to not weigh for a week and enjoy the excitement reporting our losses. Let me know what you think.

            Today was a good day!

Hey Derby Girls - thanks for the nice comments about my hair...I'm laughing a little because this is my hair straightened, lol. I have really curly hair - curls like Cat's daughter. And lordy, lordy, its coming in white at the roots

Sunny - You are a Trooper. The strength and determination you demonstrate is just amazing.

Sherry and Tracey - your menus sound so good

Predictions are for a heat wave today: 32 degrees - woohoo

Everyone's progress is such a motivation - you guys keep me going.

                  Good Morning!

Well, it is Friday so everyone together now... YAHOO! LOL

It was 22 at 6:45 this morning... but it is better than that 3-5 degrees yesterday morning!

I think I'm going to post my menu each day to keep myself honest and prepared!

                  Today:

                  B-hamburger mixture w/cauliflower

                  L-salad with chicken breast

D-not sure but maybe another broccoli, tomato and cheese omelette, I was quite surprised at how I loved those tomatoes in it! It was delicious!

Sherri-I must have missed the Oprah thing, whats with that? 194 views in one day? Someone's lurking... hahaha

Sunny - great job on volunteering, it sounds as if the rest of your day didn't go so well. I'm hoping today goes better for you and no bad dreams!!

Catherine - I love your hair! Since you were brave.... as soon as my digital camera comes in I'll do the same... post a picture... LOL Doesn't it make a difference in how you feel in just a simple thing like doing highlights?

Kass - I know we are going to make goal this year, and I'm not willing to let it go on for months and months... I know, I've said that before (LOL) but I'm determined and I'm fitting it into my lifestyle this time. I know occasionally I have a few drinks or LC beers, so I'm not going to fret about it. It sets me back 1-2 days of no loss, but it's better than going on a binge later - right? Besides IF I have drinks once a month, thats probably being generous about it. I've been "lurking" on the threads for new and easy ideas for menus, snacks, etc. We can do this!!!

Catrenia - I think you can have 1 cup of veggies OR salad at lunch and dinner on induction. I usually have some cauliflower or broccoli mixed into most of my meals. Yesterday's menu changed and I ended up with some left over hamburger mixture w/cauliflower in it and then the omelette at night so I had veggies in both meals. You are right though, no sense in doing meat only! variety will keep us at this!!!

Did I miss anyone? Happy Friday!

I love the hair! I so wish I could get mine to fall in soft waves like that. Mine pretty much does what it wants. I used to have curly hair. I'll try to find a pic and post it so you can see. I have gray that I have to cover with a rinse (thanks to my lovely thyroid...has made me go gray way earlier than I wanted).

Oh Sunny! I so want to help you. I feel stupid for complaining about my minuscule problems. I want you to check out this website I found for RSD treatment (alternative therapy): http://www.rsdtherapy.com/home_page. Let me know what you think. I am sending up a prayer that God's healing angels will reach down and touch you right now (even as I'm typing this).

Well, I will have to count that for Tuesday. I was at the grocery shopping for 2.5 hours helping my aunt with her "initial" shopping to begin Atkins. I was worn out (but still exercised after that to keep my promise to you all).

Tracy, we can ad will do this. I love my low carb alcoholic drinks also. I have been using a lot of recipes from Linda's site and eating pumpkin and cream cheese for my sweet cravings.

A huge storm hit overnight. 5 Big rig trucks turned over on the Richmond/San Mateo bridge closing the bridge for hours. The winds are at about 50 miles per hour. Many trees have fallen and scaffolds are hanging of of buildings in San Francisco. I lost power twice today for about 10 minutes each time. I just pulled out all of the candles and flashligts just in case. I don't hear the wind much anymore. This morning is sounded like someone was banging on the windows.

I am going to try and brave this storm to go to Curves. I am so motivated. I weighed this morning and am down a lb. I am finally in the 70's. WHOOOOOOOHOOOO!
