Going over the posts from today I have laughed, thought about picking up some seafood for dinner tomorrow, wished that I would look that good when I have grandchildren, been amazed at what the personal challenges have accomplished and most of all been given hope that I can do this, too.

Today I did it. Today I walked through the doors of Curves and joined. My daughter and I will be doing it together. Like I mentioned the other day, I have been thinking about this for a year. Crazy!! But then again I have been lurking here since Nov '04, LOL!! I am one of those people who think back and think if only I had joined a year ago. Well not this next year. I will be saying I am so glad I joined a year ago.

Hope you all have a great night and wake up bursting with energy!
Great!! Now you and Kass will be burning up the circuits!! They'll have to put the Derby Girls out for starting fires (smokin').

We should all be at goal by next year so I propose that you all meet me here at the real Kentucky Derby! I've never been (shame on me) so it would be an awesome treat!

We could rent hotel rooms and stay up and talk all night long. We'd probably have to book the hotel a year in advance though.

Repeat after me, "Capricorns never, ever, not in this lifetime, ever chicken out!" With our analytical thinking, we might decide it is not the right path in life, but it's not because we were scared! And, even if we're ever scared, we're too stubborn to admit it!

Createme...glad you joined Curves, I love it.

Hi everyone else, I 've been in a little funk also. It just feels so hard to get back on track and stay there. I am doing well today and hope to continue.

Cat....Kentucky Derby is fine with me. I love anywhere where I can drink and gamble. LOL.

I wouldn't mind Vegas either if any of you would like to visit the west.

Well, I will get out of this funk and talk with you all later on tonight!

Seems like alot of us have been in a funk at some point over the last two weeks! PMS, time of the year, getting off track, etc...but I know we can surpass all this and become even stronger!

Come on girls - rally!! We are the Derby Gals!!!

Kass - I'm with you on that, can I gamble and drink? Heck if we are at goal a few drinks wouldn't hurt!

                  We can do it!!

Tonights dinner is my current favorite - omelette w/tomatoes and broccoli and cheese! YUM Although I'm not feeling very hungry right now.....

I'm always up for a roadtrip! Before RSD, I used to think nothing of jumping in the car with a few hours notice and drive straight through to San Antonio--1,600 miles, 23 1/2 hours! I about died when I got there, so I stopped for the night in Memphis on the way back.

I'm feeling really good, compared to last week. I am still over-doing it when I feel good, so that sets me back. I was going to do the stepper again today at the higher tension, but after doing 2 miles of walk away the pounds, I didn't torture my leg any more.

Okay; I give up: What is a new book press?

                      Sunny!

Exceptionally bad day at work today. Tomorrow will be better...right???

DD had her 2nd interview today which went extremely well. Afterwards we went shopping, got her nails done & out to dinner. I seriously thought about cheating...that lasted about 5 seconds. What a dumbass...purposely making a bad day worse by feeding my pity party carbs. I'm glad my common sense kicked in. We had a great time. When we got home there was a message from the Human Resources person asking DD to give here a call. I think we can safely say they are going to offer her a job!!!!

                        Have a great evening everyone!

Great DD news, Glenda! Sounds like she is working fast to get a good job and get back in the swing of being home with family and friends. She probably hasn't had time to miss the lazy jerk!

I finished up the yeast-free diet today and I have my tea pot shined up and ready to go in the morning! I was at the grocery store today and almost decided to end early, but since I had made it this long, it won't kill me to wait until tomorrow. I will certainly appreciate my Atkins-friendly foods after this.

Since I promised, I did the Walk Away the Pounds video today--2 miles or 30 minutes. I also did 15 minutes of floor exercises, but didn't do the stepper again today.

Hope everyone is having a happy, low-carb night! No cheating! It's too hard to get back on track!

Sunny, you are right. I don't give up (especially when it's something that I really want). My Mom said that even when I was very little, if I was determined to do something I did it. Wish me luck gals....the Derby Girls are about to have a ND in the house!!

Catherine, where was this house at? Are you thinking of relocating? There are lots of farms here...lot of horse farms. I'm sure there's some beautiful land waiting to be plowed with your cool tractor.

Kass, hang in there girl. I know the first few days back on track is probably the hardest due to sugar cravings. It will get better. Don't forget the daisy duke shorts are waiting for you.

Tracey, sorry that you going through a mini funk. Man, wouldn't a trip to the Oprah Winfrey show do us some good. I think we need a free makeover from sonewhere when we reach goal. Now, that's what I'm talking about.

Glenda, sounds like you and your daughter had a good time (despite the funky day at work). I hope it gets better and I hope your daughter gets this job.

Marty, I'm out of hiding now...so come out. Or are we the same person? When one is absent the other is present? Come out, come out, whereever you are.

Sherri, wasn't today your doc appt? How did it go? I had to reschedule my gyno appt (from tomorrow to next Monday) due to stupid TOM. It never fails. If I want TOM to show up, just schedule a gyno appt.

Good evening createme, Mary, Sweets, and Bekka!!

Well, I'll speak to everyone later!!
