    Hi Pau :wave
I looked at your 6th Feb entry - although you ate the right ratio of fat/protein/carbs you only ate 600 calories :yikes according to the list of foods.
    Are your quantities right?

If so then you need to eat more food to make sure you dont go into 'starvation' mode :hug
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

    • beauty on wheels, the book really doesn't cost that much. You could also try to go to the thrift store to get a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002) version for a few bucks. Usually runs at less than $10 for a new book.

You're menu needs a little tweaking, though. You're having too many pickles and sandwich meats have alot of sodium in them. I know it's hard to shop and cook when you are in college, but it is important that you have the foods on the acceptable foods list. Try buying yourself those bags of mixed salad greens, some dressing (less than 1g carbs a serving), some cheese, cans of tuna, canned veggies and stuff of that sort to help you get in some of those veggies and whole foods that you need to make this WOE (way of eating) work for you.

                    • :Waving: New to the boards!

I am a reader of the AOL Atkins boards and I found this board courtesy of someone else. I started Atkins last year and managed to take 50 lbs off. I then got lazy and fell out of the WOE and gained 20 of those 50 back. I restarted Induction 10 days ago and have lost 14 lbs already. Can't wait to get to know everyone! I'm sticking to this now! No more cheating, no more quitting!

                      :joy

I have finally decided to do something about my weight and I bought the Atkins booka nd have read up tot he Induction Phase.. I am starting tommorrow morning....and quite nervous and hopeful that I will be able to keep it up... this is my first time sincerely trying atkins...so lets see how it goes..

I would appreciate any advice on what to have for breakfast, and any good Induction REcipes... thanks so much!!!! I do not eat any pork products...so if you could keep the recipes to Chicken, Beef and Seafood...would love that!! Thanks!!!

                              • Hello Sobia :wave
                                Welcome to ha

There are oodles of recipes on this board in two areas.
You can click on the link at the top of the pages to 'Recipes' where you can either browse the sections or type in an ingredient or recipe name or you can scroll down the board to the Recipes forums and look at the posts for the type of meal you are interested in.

You will need to check the ingredients of most recipes to make sure there is nothing non-induction in them as they do not say always whether they are suitable for induction. Safest is to have your list of the acceptable foods for induction handy to help you decide.

If you dont want to eat 'traditional' breakfast foods of eggs/bacon/sausage etc you dont have to - any 'induction-legal' food is fine. Lots of people cook extra meat for dinner to have leftovers for breakfast.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
