      Morning Everyone,
Elsy I was watching Oprah a few months back and they were doing study's on certain diets versus regular eating and water intake,it was really interesting.
When they did the water study was when I was half way through with our Water Challenge here..lol..and I have to say I couldn't believe when the Dr. said it doesn't help with the diet at all ,it only keeps us hydrated.I was really shocked!!

Elsy, keep in mind that the Atkins WOE has diuretic properties. If you back off your water, you'll get dehydrated QUICK. Helloooooooooooooooooo leg cramps in the night!!! If you're a coffee drinker, that is diuretic as well which compounds the problem. I don't have any studies to quote, but I can certainly tell you from my own experiences....If i drink anything less than 4 liters of water a day, I'll have cramps in my feet that night. If I have a couple days of less than 4 liters a day, my lips will start cracking and my skin gets dry. It's incredible.

Okay you guys....some of you already know that I have been battling my demons big time. AND I had a few days when I lost some of the fights. My fitday has all the gory details, I'm trying to FINALLY be accountable to myself and to others. NOT to be hiding out. Anway. I've got a couple good days under my belt.

Today is going to challenge me. I'm not in a STRONG spot with my WOE and we're having a get together with "friends" who continually pressure me about my food.

            Thinking of you, Joy.

PT, interesting you say that about eggs. I've been on an egg fest lately myself -- probably because I've finally dusted off my running shoes and my gym membership, huh? Anyway, I agree they really fill me up and help me not feel deprived.

            ------

I'm doing well. Today is day 6 of induction. And my 5th day in a row of exerice. It feels good.

Hi guys! Glenda invited me to join you all so please pass the water, veggies, and vitamins! Been a slacker lately believing I can go back to carbs and not have consequences. Only kept my wt down due to a major case of nerves/belly pain with eating. Getting myself ready for a major surgical operation on the noggin, and a bit frightened of the thought of unconscious nakedness in front of complete stangers so here I am again with hopes of finally losing again. (Been this wt for what seems like forever now) I have about 5 weeks to go before the big day. Hoping for a 10lb loss... hopefully. Monday I'm starting induction.

I've missed you guys btw... you freakin' rock. All of you.

I am truly 'back to the basics,' but if you look at what I ate today, it sure doesn't seem like it! Every last item is induction friendly! All of it homemade, including dipping sauces and salad dressings.

                  Breakfast: 9:35 a.m.
Rosemary Parmesan Scrambled Eggs in butter
                  (3 free range eggs, 1/2 t ground rosemary, 2 T parmesan, 2 T cream)

                  Lunch: 2:30 p.m.
Chili Lime Pork Salad w/sesame garlic dressing
using mesclun greens, baby spinach, Swiss chard and spring onions picked fresh from my garden

                  Dinner: 5:47 p.m.
Lemon Chicken with Nuoc Cham dipping sauce (Vietnamese)
Stir-fried veggies in EVOO & butter (broccoli, cauliflower, snow peas, red pepper, yellow squash, snap peas)

                  Good night!

                  Sunny!

Once again, it's late and I'm not up to giving details... it's been a long day. Didn't get any exercise in, as I was at work all day, but everything else is good.

Glenda, sorry to hear about the blip.... but sounds like you have a good plan to hop right back on track.

PT, Mr. Right is crazy to have not snatched you up yet. Sorry you didn't have fun last night. Sounds like today will be much better -- see, who needs guys?

I'm still on track. I overdid it on legal food yesterday -- including 2 WHOLE avocados. (Gosh they were good, though -- perfectly ripe.) Anyway, I was so hungry all day... so I'm at least glad I didn't default to eating crap. Still, though -- gotta maintain control regardless. Taking a rest day today after 5 straight days of exercise. Well, I MIGHT go for a short run later... we'll see.

Hope all the moms have a great day!

Today was so cold, rainy and dreary, I have been in bed with a good book since I got home from church. I was tired when I got home, so I just had a cold salad lunch, but I wanted some warm comfort food for dinner, so I had meat loaf, mock mashed taters (cauliflower) and green beans cooked country style with ham chunks and bacon grease (they were my home canned beans). All I needed was a batch of homemade buttermilk biscuits and some pan gravy!
