    Congrats on the 3 miles! I am going to join Brook in the exercise challenge thingy she is poking everyone for! lol I was lazy today, got out for a while but it rained all day and is still drizzleing from the remnants of Katrina. Tomorrow should be nice though! OZZFEST here I come!!!! NO BEER THERE THOUGH! I WILL BE GOOD!!!!!

      That sounds Great Rikki I think the challenge would be great. I am in 4 challenges as of this moment so I like to do them but sometimes I forget where I am at LOL.

      Yoly that is awesome you got out and did your 3 miles I think it'sa kickin that you made time, way to go I know you have been tired and lazy but you did it and that's what counts, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

      Reveal, where rae you, you haven't checked in I sure hope everything is going well for you today?? Oh, and yesterday as well.

      Today is 3 miles and Weight training, my neck is very sore from the chiroprator hey yoly (((WINK)))((((WINK))) Lol. Any how my Chiroprator is really HOT so I don't mind one bit. HE HE.

      It's only 11 more days till weigh in EVERYONE lets make the last 10 days really count and move some more barriers cut out nasties and get to where we wanna be. We can all do it we just have to belive in yourself. Once you believe you can do something NOTHING I mean NOTHING will stop you or stand in your way and that in itself is truely a miracle.

        Hey all! I'm here! I'm just swamped with work. *g* I went out and did 2.5 miles last night in the absoloute POURING rain. I felt very "official" and kept passing two other runners who were very friendly. It's like there's a whole new world out there of people who run in the rain.

        This morning I was down a pound and a half since the beginning of the week, so I think going back to induction for 2 weeks is just what I needed. I'm feeling *very* tired today though, but maybe that's just all the work I've been doing this week. Ugh. I might go home and take a nap at lunch.

        Tonight I'm going to do another 2 miles, though it's supposed to be a rest night. I've been trying to run on one of my rest nights and so far that's working out fine. I'm also going to make my old induction favorite "chili chicken" for dinner (basically just chicken with spices covered with cheese and roasted with green peppers and onions. yum!) I have 3 pounds to go to get under 200, and man I am gunning for it!

          By the way, I just wanted to say that I have been weighing (which is a no-no on this challenge, I know!) but I'm SO CLOSE to 200, and I really want to be able to watch it happen, if that makes sense. I've waited for so long to see these numbers on the scale, and it feels good to get to watch it happen. So as soon as I'm at 199 (hopefully by this weekend!) I'll stop with the weighing. I am usually pretty good about that, but I'm just excited and want to get to celebrate this time.

            Right on Reveal. I too am excited to see if I have made it under 200 I am thinking Yes but you never know. I have 10 days till I will know for sure.

            I did my 3 miles today in 37.30 minutes could have finished it faster but, I don't wanna push it to the point where I am not wanting to run Slow and steady. I am going to be doing weights here right away that shouldn't take too long it's leg day so it'll be good.

            My neck is a bit sore today and pinching form the chiroprator but, it was all right on my run so that's awesome.

            I better bo off and do my weights before I can't have a busy afternoon.

              Cute chiropractor eh? lol--- I thought we were weighing on the 5th for some reason? no? I am willing to wait till yall do! I am going to do my best for the rest of this challenge!!!! I am NOT going to drink 6 dollar beers tonight at the concert and I am giong to drink alot of water from now on!!!!!!!! I WANT sooooo much to be in onederland by weigh in time!!!!!

                Oh, sorry Rikki I am waiting cause Yoly is gunna be having TOM on the 6th our actual weigh in day so I want to wait till she is done that and weigh together I am really hoping for Onederland as well. I put my stretchy brown pants on today and they actually look like crap they are sooo baggy it's not even funny they just look dumpy but, hey that's all right HE HE

                  Wow look at you guys! The excercise bug is really taking bites out of all of you.

                  Rikki - first of all I want to say how proud of you I am. I have been reading your posts through out this challenge and I have noticed that recently you sound much stronger and much more commited. Congratulations. I am so glad that you are goining that excercise challenge, I have to tell you joining my excercise challenge is what has converted me from a sloth to an all out excercise addict.

                  Reveal - great job on the excercise! I love getting out there in the rain, in fact that's probably when I like to run the best. You are doing so great and you will be in Onderland soon, I know.

                  Sarah - as for you missy, maybe your neck hurts because you were angling it in the wrong direction at the chiropractor's office, huh. Sigh, looks like you'll have to go in for another adjustment, lol (take the camera, leave the kids). You are doing so great over there with all of your running, I am so proud not only because you we are in this challenge but to be able to call you a true friend. I am so lucky that I went into the chat room that day and met someone who inspires me to better myself. You are such a great motivator, congratulations on your continued success. ((hug))

                    As for me I had a funny day, I just forgot to eat today. I don't know what happened but it happened several times I got home around 9:00 and just ate dinner, kind of late I know but I was hungry. I hadn't had anything since around 11, that of course was after forgetting breakfast. I will plan better for tomorrow.

                    I am going to let me food rest a bit and then I'll do my 3 miles tonite, I am looking forward to it.

                    Side Note: You know, I have noticed that I am having a much easier time walking around campus this semester. This is made especially hard by the crazy heat wave that we are having in Houston lately, all this week it has been 98 but the humidity makes it feel even hotter. I don't seem to notice it much though, I should be huffing and puffing as I rush to my classes, that's what I've always done before, but it is so easy. Yet another side benefit to this WOL. I am just breezing from class to class, enjoying being outside, walking about 1/2 a mile throughout my day. I rediscovered something today that I had forgotten over the summer; I love being a student. I love expanding my mind, sitting in classes and being stimulated to think differently to approach an idea from a completly oposite direction. I love reading my material, even when it is challenging, I love walking on campus and seeing all the diverse people, the barbie dolls, the jocks, the gangsters, all of it, I love all of it. I am so glad that school has started, I am really looking forward to this semester, It is going to help me grow in so many ways. Yes growth is challenging but also very worth it.

                    I need to copy this into my journal.

                      I just finished my walk and I am so full of energy!!! WOOOHHOOO, I'm back baby. LOL.

                      Also TOM started just now, lightly, tomorrow or the day after will be my first officail day so I may be able to weigh on the 6th after all. I will keep you guys posted.

                      I can not believe that it has only been a month since we started this challenge. I just thought about it and six days from now it will be 1 month. WOW, so much has happened in the last month, it feels more like 6 months.

                      Hey, we should post our progress, something like ICES Challenge Graduates, Progress Report, Month 1. Or something, everyone write something about how the challenge affected them, the things they learned about themselves, the amount of excercise you were doing. I think this would help a lot of people who were thinking of joining the challenge but didn't. If we post our awesome results then they will want to join the second one, what do you guys think?

                        I think that's an excellent idea. SO many challenges go on but since this is monthy we can have a monthly update on oursellves. I ahve learned a lot about myself and I think it's a wonderful idea Great IDEA there Yoly.

                        I can start a new thread on the 6th for that and then another for the next challenge it's up to you.

                        Well I have to run today and I did my leg workout after my run yesterday so my legs are SORE I am thinkig slow today cause I hurt, but it will be done.

                        I am getting sooo many compliments now it's nuts. I have to get more pics done here it's 1 more month LOL. I also want to take a pic in my brown pants they look soo horrible and are soo lose not that I am complaining. In june they were sooo tight it wasn't even funny. All this running is really kicking the fat off my but amd thighs and I am improving every day.

                        I got my HRM I am soooo excited to use it today it'll be neat to see where I am with my training maybe I have to push it more I also have to find out where my training zone is HMMM. I guess I have to read tha manual LOL.

                        Well better go take care all.

                          hi Guys!!!! Well, OZZfest was a total blast! it was sooooo much fun to watch OZZY!!! He can't talk for beans but he can definitely still sing!!!!! Velvet Revolver was ok, we missed the other like 20 bands there But, anyway---- I was kinda bad at the concert- and I am still in shock over it- We each had 3 24oz light beers and they were 8.50 a peice!!! We paid 51.00 for a 12pk!!!!! Oh well- Probably the only time I will ever see OZZY and it was fun! no regrets, just thoughts of doing better next time!1!

                          Yoly- Glad you are doing so well adjustingto school again! I kinda miss the school thing- but I do love doing hair!!!

                          Sarah- You are really an inspiration! Congrats on your brown pants!!!! My pants that fit were tight today- eek... I know what it was from- the grilled cheese, oh I forgot to mention that? eh, well yeah, after teh concert I was starving from since lunch, so I bombed- But quickly recovered today! ok... gotta run!!!!

                          A few days I think till my TOM, I may postpone weighing in until after that...Also, inlaws are coming in tomorrow- Cleaning like a mad woman tonight~!

                            I don't even worry about cleaning any more when my inlaws come if they don't like my house heck with them LOL> I love them they are awesome.

                            Glad you got back on the hourse there Rikki and I sure hope you can ride it for a while and get some more weight off. I know you'll do great cause I'm cheering you on. GO RIKKKI GO RIKKI GO!!!!

                            How is everyone elese doing today I have 3 quick miles this morning and then I am going to relax. I am plateauing I know it but, it won't be for long SUNDAY is gunna be killer 9 miles WOW can you belive it. I some days can't belive it but, it's sooo awesome I can run for 2 hours straight.

                              I just finished my 3 imiles did half of it uphill and the other half flat. My legs are aching and I feel tired I think it;s all the early mornings and stuff I am exhaused LOL.

                              Tomorrow is a rest day well I won't be running I'll be doing weights I guess it's a change that'll be good.

                              I just thought I would pop in again since I ahd to go so quick this morning. I am finisheing off my egg shake and in 2 hours I'll have lunch AHHH Wonder what I'll have I DUNNO I'll tell ya later.

                              Si if everything goes well we might just be weighing on Tuesday I am excited and apprehensive as well I am sure I have done well but, there is always that thought of doubt that comes with this and not knowing really sucks. I sure hope I am in ONEDERLAND that would make my day.

                                Hi guys, how is everyone?

                                I'm doing pretty good, I just finished a delicious lunch. I had sauteed shrimp with butter and garlic powder, 1 artichoke. I have never eaten artichokes before but it was really good. Tasted kinda like corn or something. I haven't worked out yet but I will before the day is out. I got kinda carried away reading last night and didn't end up going to sleep until 4 this morning so I'm tired, I am so looking forward to my nap today.
