    Joe...I can give my kids carb stuff and not be tempted by it either. Isn't it a great feeling!

      Crazy little distructive voices in my head! Whispering that I am hungry...eat...eat...binge...binge. SHUT UP!!! I know what they are doing. It is sunday...day before weigh day...self sabatoge. Fighting it...but dang I wish they would go away.....

          Thanks Joe...I am trying....already had 4 cups of water since the feelings began...and some broccoli and dip...and a bit of steak...so at least all legal so far. Glad the pork rinds are gone.

            hey everyone, just got done with my cooking, taco meat is done, meatloaf is in the oven, and decided to make steaks with broccoli instead of chicken and sauted veggies. just letting the juices settle in the steaks before we tear into them.

            all these little voices running around in people's heads in here, am i gonna have to call the low carb exorcist in to cast them out? LOL

            elsie, it's funny you saying that you are gonna switch rung 3 and rung 4. i was thinking of doing the same thing, but was gonna wait until after i finished rung 2 before i mentioned it. with all the berries and melons starting to come in now i want to take advantage of them being fresh.

            i am looking forward to making the dom's cheesecake recipe and adding the berries to it. then when i get back to the nut ring i can add nuts to it for a crust if i take it to family get-togethers or other social functions that include food and desserts.

              Monie - I wish I could cook a lot in one day for use later in the week. It never seems to cross my mind/or I'm too tired when I think of it.

              Guys, I really want to switch my whole family over to this WOE. Of course, the kids would be on maintenance, and maybe even my husband, because he is only about 20 pounds overweight, but he has decided to stop drinking his daily 3-6 beers, so he will drop the weight in an instant. the only one who will be sad is Step DS 16. He will be hungry a lot! LOL. He lives on ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly.

              We are poor-ish, but I am assuming that if I buy my produce from local farmers markets, it should be cheaper, so some say. I am nervous about it, .. I guess I am just going to have to go to a farmers market and see!

              Anyway, my husband is craving fruit and veggies in his lunch as opposed to Little Debbie snacks and doritos. my daughter is starting to put on the chub, so this would be good for her especially. I worry about her. She is a miniature version of me.

                Hi all, been busy around here, but just caught up reading again. Just popping in quick before helping bf with dinner. I am making cauliflower "stuffed"potatoes", he is grilling steaks. Ya, so we went out last night, and holy cow, bacardi hits hard when you don't have bread/ noodles/ pasta in your diet to soak some of it up!!! I warn you all, be careful! I got sick, and still have to decide if I am going to take my day off for my 6 wk challenge today or not, nice way to start, lol. But we didn't eat at the wedidng reception we went to, and mixed with only diet soda, so we played within the rules as much as we could. Feel icky today, but now I know. Oh, yeah, and bacardi also made me write the sitter a $200 check for her 5 hours last night!! LOL!! I don't even remember doing it! Good think she is honest, I went and exchanged that check with a substantially smaller amount of cash this morning! Bf likes telling people that story, he is getting a lot of mileage from that one! What do you do?

                Actually wore a pair of jeans last night that I had bought as inspiration jeans a couple of months ago, couldn't even get them buttoned back then, still had the tags on, boy did that feel great!! I feel like I am shrinking, you guys!!! Pants that were a bit too snug yesterday are fitting today, I am just amazed! I know I may be hung up for a few days after last night's splurge, but the night out was worth it. And the most amazing thing, I didn't eat anything bad last night or today! Usually I get a pizza on the way home when we have been out, or eat tons of pasta or what have you the next day, just to feel better. I tell ya, those eggs and bacon were tough to face this am, but I still ate them. Had 2 small burgers and a salad for lunch, doing good with the eating.

                Ya, not sure I am motivated to walk tonight, but will be on top of things in the morning for sure!!!! DD has girl scout camp tomorrow, got a test out of the way that counts as 30% of my total grade sor far, think I did ok, won't know till after the 4th though. Teacher is unavailable till then.

                I am just not having cravings, bf is though!! He is still thinking about those darn Bridgeman's carmel rolls! He was telling me he is going back to regular eating today, but I think he was just kidding, I guess we will see, I will continue even if he doesn't. Baby calls, ttyl!!

                  How are all my buddies? I am doing well. Sorry for not stopping by but as you know I was busy this weekend. The in-laws came out. Went pretty well. I actually enjoyed thier company. The best part was that they didnt bring the brother-in-jerk..I mean law.

                  Bill~ I love the the Burger King idea. I would so try and do that...lol

                  After I threw the brookies (brownie/cookies) away. I went and tossed the rest of the Chinese. I look at it like this. They are all slim so they need to accomidate me and my eating..lol Selfish? Maybe, but oh well. I am going to do this with the least amount of temptations possible. Dont want me to throw it out, then hide it.

                  Oh and I was wondering...has anyone gotten oily skin from this WOE? Because I have. My face and hair are slick! I look like I tripped and fell into the fryer that the Burger King CEO's shoved Bill into. I was thinking that it is from the higher content of fat in my diet now. Oh well I will try to figure something out. I would rather have a slick face that a fat rump.

                  Well ya'll I am off to the showers. You behave and have a great night. I will be back by sometime in the morn. Gute Nicht!

                    I get oily, but honestly I think it is from cooking bacon and burgers, etc. I guess now that I think of it, my hair is looking a little more greasy by the 24 hour mark. But it is looking really healthy!! Shiny and bouncy, better than ever actually.

                    Ok, I am claiming sunday as my rest day for the exercise challenge, was going to do it that way anyway. I just could not get motivated. Bf took a 2 hour walk with baby yesterday and a 1.5 hour one today! He is doing good in that dept.

                    Well off to bed, I am going to need my sleep so I can exercise tomorrow!!!! Hope you all had a good weekend!

                      Wow i just posted this morning and I had so much reading to catch up on... BTW I want a hula hoop too... I have never learned to hula as a child... maybe i should learn haha.... I know all about temptations .. I work at this Italian restaurant called Carrabba's and we have the BEST food... there is alot of stuff I can eat while on Atkins actually we have veal, steak, chicken, fish.. and the best salads and veggies... but there is also TONS of stuff that I can't eat thats in my face all day long... like fried calamari and pasta mmmm.. i love pasta! but I have yet to give into my temptation and I won't ... I'm to scared of seeing myself gain weight to cheat ..

                      Splandrea .. I just thought of something ... the last time I had strawberries a couple of days after I started induction... it made me want to go crazy too... and boy did I ... I ate everything carbs after those strawberries... darn it.. haha

                      Andie- I def. agree about throwing that stuff away.. if they really wanted it they could of hid it

                      I want to join the 6 week challenge! maybe i will ... challenges seem like fun

                        Alright...I made it through (thanks Joe!!) and I drank so much water (30 cups at least today) that at 8 pm my scale actually read 5 pounds higher than my weigh in last week. Will see what it reads in the morning. I am sure I will be up and down all night to the bathroom.

                        Okay....I am off to bed. Good night...

                            good morning, buddies. well i'm ready for my busy week at work to start . i made enough things up yesterday to have my lunches for the week. today i begin rung 2 of OWL. i found some low carb yogurt that is vanilla flavored instead of fruit flavored, so i'm gonna add that in, also i got some cottage cheese. i may only try the cottage cheese one day and then the other 2 eat the yogurt. not sure if i like the cottage cheese, so the one day is just to try it. i didn't buy a very big container so as not to waste a whole lot if i can't eat it.

                            well, i better start getting ready for work, have a great low carb day,

                              Morning Monie, where do you find LC yogurt? Is it less than 5 carbs then? I hope you like the cottage cheese, I can't wait to add that in!

                              BTW, I just wanted to share something, when I went to measure last night for the 6 week, I compared my measurements to some I took of myself this spring when I atempted to do Weight Watchers for the millionth time. I couldn't believe I lost 3 inches from my waist, 2 from my hips, and 2 from the thigh!!! Just during induction, too! I'm glad I had those measurements, I was kicking myself for not measuring when I started induction. But anyway, yes, inches tell more of a story than the scale!!

                                Elsie - I am on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what the scale's verdict was this morning. No matter what it says, you are losing weight, and you are going to rock this thing called Atkins!

                                Monie - So jealous! #1: I want yogurt. #2: Can you come to my house and make stuff for me to eat all week? PLEEEEEase? I need to take a few tips from you!

                                Val - Yay! I have lost a few inches on my waist and it feels fabulous! I was measuring myself yesterda for the six week execise challenge and I thought of you saying/typing "I'm shrinking" from a few days ago. I really think we are!

                                So, my son and niece were drawing last night (both 4). and my son says, "No, she has more fat." and I asked them what they were doing. and my niece says, "Oh, drawing you. You are fat." And I said, "Be nice to me." And my son says, "I love you and your fat. So, I have to draw you and your fat." =( I can't wait for the day that there is not so much fat to draw. They made a big fat circle with two little stick legs coming out of it!
