Re: Do you miss Tacos? Induction friendly recipe with pics!

Harris Teeter is wayyyy too expensive for me. Everything is either "organic" (read: $$$) or they're trying to make up for the fact that they're open 24 hours by upping prices. Yuck. I like my Food Lion, nice and cheap!

Most of the Food Lions's around here are dirty and their meat selection is horrible! I'll pay a little extra to get good meat and veggies. Our Harris Teeter's don't specialize in organic? That's weird. The organic grocery's here are Whole Foods and Fresh Market, oh and they've opened a new on e called Earth Fare that I haven't visited yet.

Yes, I've seen Luzianne Ice tea everywhere! Might have to go by Giant or Fresh Fields...Safeway didn't have it

Doesn't that stink that everything that's considered healthy, organic is so expensive?

Once I wanted to buy eggs that stated on the carton that the hens were free-running...but they were really expensive!

And free range chickens by law only have to have their cages or the barn door open for like 30 minutes a day, so that really doesn't mean much, its all a gimmick!

I (finally) made these last night and...OMG! Delicious! I'm so happy I can have tacos again

The only thing is...I filled a frying pan with the cheese, and it ended up being a MONSTER taco shell...ROTFL!!

I can't bring myself to read this entire thread right now, but...

You can make Taco Salad Bowl's with the shells too! Before the shell cools, press it into a bowl. Fill it with lettuce, tomato, olives, fresh avocado, shrimp, or whatever you like.

I made these tonight, and I must say that I am very excited to have taco's and not have to resort to Taco **** as I call it. Everyday that I am on this board I am amazed. Thanks for the recipe, I will post my pictures of my shells....
