                      I bought the perfect pushups discs from Walmart. They have a program where you figure out your max and then start off doing three sets, broken down.

                      That is, if your maximum is 20, then you do three sets of 30 during the day. But each set is broken up to 14-10-6 but you have 2 mins to complete the entire set of 30. You have to do one wide set (easy) one regular set, and one with hands close (the hardest for me) You are off every other day. Over time they add a 4th set, and then have you do them with 1 or 2 sets with your legs raised (decline push ups). Mind you I am still doing knee push ups because all my weight is in my butt and thighs so it is a lot of back stress and core stress but I am working towards the real thing.

                      At the end of their series, you take 2 days of and retest to see if your maximum has changed. SO I will see after this series of knee push ups if I have the strength to move to regular ones. If I do, then you start the series again, based on how many regular ones you can do. If you can't do ten, it is back to knee push ups in high numbers.

                      I like these because the discs don't stress your wrists like doing them on the floor, and because the discs rotate, it adds a stability and additional core factor to the push up. You have to read the instructions because I was doing them incorrectly at first. The correct way was a lot harder. I start out with crummy form and as I progress I feel my form improving. Every time they add a set or raise your legs you can feel the difficulty. But after a few times your form and stamina improves. And because you don't have to do them all at once (some days I do, some days they may take me all day to fit the 4 sets in between running around) it is a piece of cake on a tight schedule. Also they aren't too pricey. I think they were around 20 dollars but they are worth it for the program outline. I don't think I would have stuck with it and/or made the progress without doing it as they have instructed. They also pack small.

                              LOL, I do some excruciatingly slowly too. Usually the very last ones because I can't go any faster! This week the ones raised on the chair are getting me. Those decline push ups are tough.
