Put in another 30 minutes last night of walking and weighed 275 this morning.
This is the second time trying Atkins and hopefully this time it will be a permanent life change for me.

Well I completed my first 5K today and it was AWESOME!! I just have to share! lol I got there at 7:00 this morning to get my t-shirt and runner number. I was so nervous. There were SO many people!
It was tough, I'm not gonna lie. I got to the first mile marker and wondered how in the world I was going to make it the next two. Jess and I had set our personal goal at completing the race in 55 minutes or less. I was pouring sweat and sucking in air but I just kept pushing myself to go a little faster, a little harder. We would walk some, then jog some, then walk again.
By mile 3 my legs literally felt like jell-o but I just kept on putting one foot in front of the other. When we rounded the last corner we could see the finish line up ahead and it took all I had to jog the rest of the way to the finish. It was great! Everyone was there cheering us on and Tami (my personal trainer) was waiting at the finish line to take our picture. It was such a great accomplishment for me! We finished in 53:22 minutes.
Oh, and after the race we did Chicken Fit (a special thing our gym was hosting at the race site). They had a sampling of their classes out in the parking lot so we did Kick and Groove classes (3 songs each) so about 45 minutes total.
All in all I got 100 minutes excercise in today.
