Hey Purplecat, I just noticed your note there. Since I've been doing this for so long it truly has became a lifestyle. I still grocery shop the same way each month. So I plan my meals monthly. I cook as I go. Although I prepare different salads and meals a few days in ahead so I always have a meal handy. I've always got snack foods on hand such as boiled eggs, celery sticks, tuna salad, cheese, etc. I do this with my thirteen year old DD. My DH eats the same way we do although he requires a maintenance level so gets whole grains. It wasn't always that way. In the beginning I was fixing two seperae meals each day, one for them and one for me. Over time I gradually involved them in my woe and they love it! Even if I look at a food that's not legal my DH will give me that look. I call him my food police. LOL

Hey everyone. I'm so mad at my stupid computer!! I had typed everyone a message and wham the computer erased it all.

Anyway, welcome to you Jenn! We're glad to have you aboard. Feel free to join in, share tips and advice, etc. I like hearing how everyone is doing.

Tracey, stay strong at your jewelry party!

Lesszmore, how did you do at your MIL? Did you avoid temptation? Did you eat something small before going to help you avoid temptation? How old is your little boy? My daughter is 6. Yes, check out the L-gluatamine. I think Swanson (www.swansonvitamins.com) has it on sale right now.

Sherri, congrats on getting your family to eat the way you eat. My daughter, not there yet. She will eat the meat I prepare but prefers different sides. Tonight she had porkchop, corn, and beans. She was very happy with that.

Intuitivebap, your menu looks great. Keep up the good work. You, too, check out the L-glutamine (especially if you crave carbs like I did). I take it in the morning before breakfast.

Today's stats: 100 oz. of water!! Whoohoo!!

        Breakfast:
        -Bacon
        -Eggs

        Mid-Morning Snack:
        -1 Serving Pepperoni
        -1 Cheese Snackable

        Lunch:
-Bacon Cheeseburger (homemade, sans the buns)
        -Salad
        -Ranch Dressing

        Afternoon Snack:
        -Tuna Muffin
        -1 Cheese Snackable

        Dinner:
        -Broccoli
        -Porkchop
        -Salad
        -Ranch Dressing

I was going to attempt Pilates but I'm so tired that I am going to bed to view the back of my eyelids.

**Oh, just had to share. My supervisor informed our unit today that she WOULD NOT go out to eat for boss's day unless everyone in the unit went. Well, I guess she won't be eating out then.

I did pretty good yesterday, i had 2 hot dogs w/no buns.

Unfortunately i woke up late...again!! so no lunch or snacks, and i grabbed a piece of chicken for breakfast (weird i know first thing looking at me in the fridge) and ran out the door. So i'm gonna buy a chicken salad for lunch today. I plan on cooking but well see bc my oldest has boy scouts tonite. I really need to plan better at night...it doesnt help that none of my clothes fit right now, so i am recycling outfits...but i refuse to buy anything bc i'm determined to lose weight and fit into my pre-preggo clothes.

I have 2 kids, 6 yr old Isaiah and 7 mth Elijah.

I'm in the process of weaning him right now ( i want my body back!) so once i'm done i'll look into the L-guartimane (sp?)

Is tea o.k to drink, it cold here in MI today, and was thinking of making some green tea, since i cant have hot chocolate (my fav).

intuitivebap-your meal plan looks pretty good to me!

Sherri- we can have sugar free jello?

Catreina- 100oz of water your doing great! I was plannin on exercising last night, but feel asleep watching the biggest loser. There's not enough hrs in the day! BTW i love your siggy w/th lady and the scale!!

scalesk- Come u can do it! Hope back on track, today is a new day!!

              Good Morning!

Stayed strong at the jewerly party! She had cheese & sausage platter so I had that, she had a veggie platter so I had cucumbers and she had string cheese cut up to dip in coctail sause, so I had string cheese! I was up .5 today but I'm sure its from processed foods for dinner! LOL I didn't eat when I got home because after that, I wasn't hungry. Oh and I had a diet coke instead of a beer! WOW, I must be really determined!

I should mention my first goal is to make the WOE from October 1 - October 31. Baby steps for me, then I'll make another goal. In the meantime, I can't wait to see what I've lost in weight and inches after 31 days! My clothes are already fitting so much better!

Lesszmore - I think green tea is ok without sugar and yes you can have sugar free jello, I'm just not sure how much but someone else can answer that.

Sheri - You've got some challenges going on! Thats one way to keep it going strong huh! It's great you have that support at home, it will really keep you on track!

Purplecat - you can still go out to eat and get legal items, or did I miss something there?

IB - Your menu looks great! No processed foods, all whole foods except for Wendys!

              Yesterdays menu for me was:
              B- turkey burger w/horseradish mustard
L - egg salad on a bed of lettuce
              S - 1 - turkey burger w/horseradish
D - my cheese buffet at the party
I'm pretty sure I got in close to 100 oz of water yesterday. I've filled up my 74 oz jug and set it in my office already so we'll see how it goes today!

Ok - gabby here - back to work for me!

Hey Tracy! Yes, you can still go out and eat legal foods. However, I know it's one of those things I don't want to do becuase of the surrounding temptation. I don't want to sit at a table of people eating dessert. I just don't want to set myself up that way. Even if I'm not hungry (before) I would still eat. You see, I'm an emotional eater. I can't really differentiate (at this point in time) between true hunger and emotional hunger. Therefore I try to eat small meals every 2.5 to 3 hours. I guess eventually I will develop something inside that will help me differentiate. But for now I avoid all the things that could set off a trigger to get me to eat off plan.

Scaleskl, I knew you could do it. Never beat yourself up!!
We're here for support. No one is going to reprimand you for being human (at least not on this thread). I will have no such thing happen. I don't like cruelty in any form. I want everyone to be able to come here and be honest about their day and how it affected their eating. I mean we're here for "support", not to kick someone while they're down!! So, I'm happy you felt comfortable enough with us to be able to share your experience and proud of you for getting back on track.

Lesszmore, great job on avoiding the temptation!! You, too, Tracey!! I'm glad your friend had alternative foods for you to eat. Most people are not considerate like that. So, I give your friend a big THUMBS UP and I give both of you TWO THUMBS up for resisting temptation.

Well, I guess I'll get back to work. Later my carb-less friends!!

Ahhh I didn't know if they were just not going out because of you or what. I totally understand your reasoning, you just began and need to really get into it and discover new things about yourself before "torturing" yourself, so to speak.

I haven't told anyone I'm doing this, no flack etc., she just happened to have that stuff there last night - cool! I would have just refrained from eating and had the diet coke if there was nothing available. I was only there from 6:45 to around 8 so I could have done that.

How is everyone doing today so far? I've gotten about 40 oz of water in, I know - SLACKER! LOL I'm going to step that up!

Had 1 turkey burger and 1 cup of fried cabbage for breakfast, must have been hungry!

Hello Everyone! Second day into re-induction and staying on track. Lesszmore-When I began this woe in "04" I did it along with my Atkins Revised Book. I used it like a bible. I was allowed sugar free jello according to the book. It wasn't untill I found this board May "07" that they spoke against it. Something about Clean induction and aspertame not being on that list. Aspertame is known to slow or stall weight loss. That was not the case with me. So, yes I eat sugar free jello during induction. But only during induction because of the cancer warnings on the aspertame. Thinsoon- it wasn't always the case with the support. Don't get me wrong, my family has always supported me in this woe and wol only they did'nt realize it at the time that they would eventually be doing it along with me. It was a gradual change. After the first year we were all eating the same way. If there's one thing that this woe has taught me is patience. Patience, in myself and those around me. I truly believe that good things come to those that wait. In this case anyway.

Hey everyone!! Did everyone have a good day? I hope so.

Tracey, you have hit the nail on the head! No need to torture myself! LOL!! No, they're not going out just because of me but another guy in the unit who never goes out with us. However, as I see it, it's a personal choice. No one can make me go out to eat (especially at a restaurant I detest). If they want to spoil their own fun by focusing on me and what I'm doing...that's on them. I think they really are trying to sabotage me. Today my supervisor sent our secretary out to buy cookies from Starbucks. Then she proceeded to set them by our sign-in/sign-out book and kept yelling for people to come and eat the cookies. Luckily, my will power is stronger than that. Is my WOL really bothering her that badly? And if so, why? Ok, off my soapbox now.

Hey Sherri! I must admit patience is not my virtue. I want to wake up tomorrow skinny!

Hey Jenn! I was looking at your menu. Looks good!

Hi scaleskl!! Congrats for getting back on track. You're doing great! Was it hard to get back to Atkins? I think I must have had something today that set off cravings. I was more hungry than usual. I can't figure out what it is though.

Hey lilly1313, glad to see you back. I told you those muffins were delish (addictive). I'm going to try something new next week but have a feeling I'm going to end up making some more muffins.

Today's stats: 100.8 oz. of water!

                            Breakfast:
                            -Bacon
                            -Eggs

                            Mid-morning Snack:

                            -Ranch Dressing

                            Afternoon Snack:
                            -Tuna Muffin
                            -Cheese

                            Dinner:
                            -Cheeseburger
                            -Broccoli

I'm going now to try Pilates! I also bought a set with 2 videos and a book called Atkins Answer. I'll let you know what it says. Something interesting it says (this is for the 2 week induction): "All dinners should include a fresh green salad". Hmmmmm....guess I didn't make that happen tonight.

No, it was quite easy to get back on track. I am so motivated. After loosing the weight I was able to fit into some more pants in my closet. By Halloween I plan to add a few more pairs of pants to the list.

Hello to all of you! Day two of re-reinduction for me. Stayed on track with menu, water, exercise, supplements and meds. Breakfast: 2 eggs fried in butter & turkey ham steak. LUNCH: tossed green salad with 1 oz roast beef & 2 tbls. of ranch. DINNER: Burger steak, steamed fresh zuchinni, tossed green salad w/ cucumber, roma tomatoe w/ oil & vinegar. DESERT: Sugar-free jello. Lots and lots of water. I exceeded my 120 oz. You are welcome to visit my journal stat to get my percentages and food carb grams from fitday. I had a really great day today. I'm coming across areas in this woe where I needed to work on such as portion size and making sure I get my water in. I had become complasent and telling myself I was o.k. with it. "NOT" There's always areas for improvement. PURPLECAT- LOL, I know what you mean. When you work this woe the way you're supose to it will feel like your waking up each day skinny. Especially when your losing 3 lbs. a week. Every time I lost ten pounds I was going down a size. I went from size 4x to size large or 16s in a year. Losing 150 lbs along with no more type-2 diabetes, high blood pressure and high lipid #. This woe truly saved my life and continues to do so. Keep with it, the rewards are endless.
