      Tasha: Don't be so hard on yourself. Get back on the wagon today and just go forward. Put some extra "good" stuff in the house to make it easier for when your nights go a little haywire. I had a real hard time on Sunday with not enough "good" stuff in my house, didn't want to go out in the rain to buy more, so I hid myself at and away from the junk until I felt safe to go back into the kitchen. Willpower has never been a strong point for me, so I understand what you are going through. Stay with our friends, and you will find the skinny you waiting to come out...... Good luck today.

        Thanks Marty! Today is one of those days that i feel like "oh fug-it i'll just be fat forever, why bother try"....but i gotta try and i know its just a bad day /week i'm having and that this too shall pass.....

            Hey everyone! I'm having such a "tired" day. I hope everyone is doing good.

            Hey Sherri, I saw that you made it below 250.

            Tasha, preparation, preparation!! I'm an emotional eater as well. I've had to find alternatives to eating for everything (happiness, sadness, boredom, etc.). Not an easy task but well worth it. You CAN do it!! We're here for you.

            Hey Marty! How's it going? Have you recovered from the camping trip?

            How are you today Jenn? Are you still at 11 pounds?

            Does anyone else have a scale addiction like me?

            Kassoria, where are you? I am finding the craving diminishing. When I first started and my daughter had a lollipop....I wanted it so bad just to taste the sweetness. Hang in there!!

            My cravings are so much better that I have Hawaaiian (sp?) rolls that are in my car for the food day (that I'm taking for them). My friend (coworker) is bringing the Atkins friendly Early Rise breakfast (I think that's what it's called) and a Broccoli Casserole (from Linda's website). She didn't want me to not be able to participate in the potluck. Another friend is bringing some ham. I might bring some cut up vegetables (celery and cucumbers) and ranch dressing. Not sure yet.
            Today's stats: 102 oz. of water!

            Breakfast:
            -Eggs (less than when I started - not as hungry)
            -Bacon

            Mid-morning Snack:
            -Turkey Breast
            -Cheese Snackable

            Lunch:
            -Steak
            -Green Beans
            -Salad
            -Ranch Dressing

            Afternoon Snack:
            -Pepperoni
            -Cheese Snackable
            -Porkrinds

            Dinner:
            -Steak
            -Salad
            -Ranch Dressing
            -Broccoli

            I got comments on my weight loss today (comments that I looked like I was losing). Hooray!! People at work today were actually wanting my lunch. Way to go Atkins!!

              Thanks Katrinia for noticing my five pound loss. This is day 8 for me and I'm feeling real positive. BREAKFAST: 4 slices jimmy dean bacon, 2 fried eggs. Decaf w/ hvy cream, 1 splenda. LINCH: leftover meat loaf. DINNER: scampi, steamed zuchinni, green salad w/ olives, cucumber, & ranch. Lots and lots of water. This week I will be posting vegie recipes since the vegie challenge is beginning monday for anyone interested. KATRINIA~ Looks as though all is understood regarding your menu with your co-workers and friends, good deal! That is such a great feeling when people start noticing your weightloss ha! Then they're looking at your food like they want some now. Hehe. Thats great! By the way, your menu looks great! Keep up the great work!

                Caternia: Yes I have recovered but the sinus' have not... oh well. I too am addicted to my scale as I find my self on it every morning. As long as I'm losing it gives me strenth to say focused. I got on my scale this morning and I have made it under the 180 zone. Having prob. with my ticker though. Glad to hear your co-workers are on your side now. Way to go....

                  Hey Catrina, I'm here. I've been busy working on papers and I had a class tonight until 930. Yes, I have a scales addiction also. I have to put my scales inside of a box and have my husband put it on the top shelf in the garage. I can't reach it with a step ladder. It's sad LOL

                  I try to weigh just once a week. It's tough.

                  Sherri: When you said west coast I was hoping for CA. Thought maybe I'd meet some Atkineers near me. Congratulations on your weight loss.

                    Well today is day 11 and I am a bit bummed. The scale says that I am up almost 3 pounds since last friday . I'm not ever hungry....its hard to eat when I am not hungry nor craving anything. I am cheat free and smoke free for 11 days now....I should be excited but I'm not..... I am tired, all the time. I eat my veggies like I am suppose to and take my vitamins. I started to spread out my veggies like someone on here told me to and now I am not losing. UGH!! Today would be a great "stay in bed all day" kinda day. Tomorrow I go for a physical....I hate going to the Doc! LOL Sorry for being a downer this morning....lets hope my day picks up some

                      Jenn - Hang in there. When you quit smoking your body will do some odd things (I've been there) and it will retain water more than ever. It is important to make sure to get alot of water in to flush those toxins out. Don't worry so much about the scale right now, especially since you are doing both at the same time, you will see a loss!! How about posting a typicaly day menu? You are doing great!!

                      Caterina - that is great, everyone is bringing in great items so you can partake also! I think they will enjoy them just as much!!

                      Sherry - great job on day 8 and the loss! Veggie challenge? I'd love to see your recipes, please post!

                      scaleski - yep, I am also a scale addict. I could probably weigh myself three times a day to see how I fluctuate! LOL I'm trying to weigh just once in the am.....progress to be continued!

                      Martylaine - you are always so positive! Thanks for your posts!

                      Lezzmore- keep at it - you'll do it!! If you mess up on one meal, start with the next, don't wait until another day. I know you are busy, but if you can get prepared for a few days, I think that will help!

                      Did I miss anyone?? Hello to you!!

                      I'm on day 17 and after adding in rung 1 veggies and such my weight as stalled already, no loss after about day 8 or so. I do feel better so I'll just try and back off rung 1 items and keep at it. I also was eating a few almonds each night along with pumpkin cheesecake (from beachgirls' recipe) with whipped creme, it is LC but maybe I just can't handle that yet... So it's almost gone and that will not be in my menu either...

                      Yesterdays menu:
                      b- two turkey burgers with horseradish mustard
                      L- two turkey burgers with broccoli/cauliflower mixture
                      d- two tilapia filets with broccoli/cauliflower mixture
                      S-6 almonds
                      S- very small slice of LC pumpkin cheesecake and whipped cream
                      Doesn't sound like a whole lot but who knows - plus I had a session at the Y last night - 1 hour of weights/strength training!!!

                        Hello Ladies and Gents! I know I disappeared for a while!!! Ive been feeling so tired lately!!!! Yesterday marked my 2 week Induction, and I weighed in at a lost of 8lbs.
                        I wish I wouldve done my inches prior to all of this, but I will do them today and tack my progress from here!!!!

                        I am extemely proud of myself, and hope to continue to do well!!! Im going to try to stay on the extended Induction for about 2-4 more weeks. I can only say continuously how proud I am of everybody. You guys are doing so well!!! Congrats to everybody on the weightloss and inches lost!!! I wouldnt be down 8lbs if it wasnt for you guys!!!!
                        Induction: Week 1 completed
                        This is my 1st time on Atkins!!!!

                          Marty, I take a supplement called MSM for my sinus probs. I used to get a monthly sinus infection until I started taking it. It's a natural substance. I also take a buffered vitamin C powder (which helps the MSM to work better). The MSM can be found at www.bio-alternatives.net and the Vitamin C at www.vitapurity.com.

                          Sherri, I'm looking forward to the veggie recipes. Will they be on your journal page?

                          Good afternoon Tasha!! How are you doing today?

                          Kassoria, I used to put my scales up high but then I'd get exercise getting them down. It's an addiction and it's not good because if I have fluctuated any in the wrong direction I truly get depressed even though I know there are many factors.

                          Jenn, don't be down. You might have gained due to muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. I know that usually I gain a pound, then lose 2 pounds. It's weird. I know it's easier said than done (see my message to Kassoria). It's just better to see the scale going the way I want it to. Just keep going!! Have you measured yourself? I did and that's the only thing keeping me going (lost 13.5 inches) is seeing something (inches or pounds) go down.

                          Hey Tracey!! How's it going? I gained 2 pounds from yesterday to today since I added the green beans. I didn't eat them today. We'll see if that helps. I hope I don't have to stay in extended induction. I get bored too easily and I don't want to fall prey to temptation.

                              Menu for today.....

                              was in a BIG hurry.....running late getting DD to school.
                              breakfast- big sausage patty.
                              snack- string cheese
                              lunch- 4 big chicken tenders cooked in butter with seasoning, topped with Hooters wing sauce.
                              snack- dunno yet.
                              dinner- Red Lobster....snow crab legs, butter for dipping!!!!! a salad.

                              I KNOW my veggies are all tonight but I have been spreading them out during the day and I didn't like it much that way. I love my big salad at dinner time.

                              I am also caffiene free for 11 days as well. Gave up coffee and my beloved diet cokes!!! I have 1 diet rite a day and then 80+ oz. of water.

                              CAFFIENE free....CHEAT free....SMOKE free~~11 days!
