from 280 to 164?? Wow...that is really good for induction...a loss of 116 pounds...gotta be a record ;^). I would be mad too...should have at least been 117!!! (Joking because I am resisting the urge to smack you again!)

Ahhh...the indignity of getting older. LOL! I love the smell of that...weird I know. I also like the smell of fresh cut wood...

I understand a good sore. I am not too sure I am willing to put my butt on the line though...

That is a legitament(sp?) worry!! I, personally, think that pre-maintenance and maintenance is harder than induction. In the weight loss phases we at least get the little rushes of the scale going down and the new clothes to fit in. Later...not so exciting to see no changes. And easier to talk ourselves into the one bite that leds to another syndrome. But climbing the rungs is where we are supposed to learn how to do that. That is why they are so important. You should be all the way through them and know how your body reacts and how many carbs you can handle before you have the last 10% to lose.

Besides being scared of success...I think another reason was I got lazy at keeping track of everything. Anyway...we have learned a hard lesson by being successful before and putting it back on. We are older (Geez...there is that word again) and wiser. Maya Angelo said something like, "You did what you knew how to do and when you knew better, you did better."

    Here's to doing better!!

well, i see my buddies are up late tonight. i just finished the rest of my exercises for the day. i did some at mom's while we were having the garage sale, and did the rest here at home tonight. i sorta went for my walk today, i didn't want to leave mom by herself with her having open house and the garage sale going so i improvised. i walked just up and down the driveway and back and forth on the sidewalk a little ways on each side of her house. i have a fitness program on my cell which counts the steps taken and decided to do 2500 steps. i ended up with 2600+ steps that equalled 1.1 miles so i exceeded that goal. i know the neighbors probably wondered "what the heck is she doing" but i didn't really care. i was tired of just sitting around and decided to get moving any way i could. i also found a better way to do my push ups, my knees bother me when i try to do them on the floor . there is a wall push that can be done, so i tried it and i seem to actually be able to do this much easier and more of them too.
i actually did 40 today that way, my highest total for a day. i was also playing around with my stability ball today, squats are pretty easy to do with it, i even did 15 push ups with it too. sit ups are gonna take some practice doing them, but i think i did about 15 of those too.

i know you all probably get tired of hearing all my exercise escapades, but i haven't always been so determined on the exercise part of this wol in the past. i've always started out with good intentions of doing them, but somehow seeing the weight come off so fast i would decide i didn't need it. this time my mindset is so different and my desire to succeed is so much stronger. you all are a big part of it too, i actually have someone besides my family to talk about it with. you inspire me to exceed my goals and expectations.

well here i went just rambling on again....i just can't help it sometimes....thanks for lending me an ear....love you guys!!!!!!

Wow Bill, that is an awesome st loss!!!! I am not gonna slap you, but congratulate you!!!!!

Just a quick check in before hitting the books. We went to another movie last night with the kids, the Hulk, again we were good, shared a diet pepsi. Ate really good yesterday. (Spinach quiche and bacon, fauxtatos and chicken breast, and chicken bacon ranch salad from Mc Donalds, hold the ranch) I am down another pound or two this morning, so in 10 days, down 8-9 pounds, I am happy with that. BF on the other hand is down 12 in 9 days!!! And he only has 35-40 total to lose!! I am so proud of him!!! He has known it but didnt want to tell me cuz he didn't want me to feel bad that I lost less, I had to drag the info out of him, lol!!

Thanks for the help with fitday, now it all makes sense, lol, instead of trying to put in 1/8, I need to put in a decimal value!! Good on the exercises monie, better than I am doing, getting nothing in at all! Ugh, I think I need to get a challenge going, bf says as long as it doesnt mess with my studying, I really need to do it! There will be studying to do for the next two years, I have to learn how to fit this in!!!! K, better get back to studying, catcha later!!!

                  Fine morning to the Bud's!

Monie--I like reading your excercise escapades also! so motivating that you can come up with something anywhere you might be...As for the nieghborhood people..next time pin a large label to the front of your clothes " Tax Assessor" suddenly every one will be your friend (or magically no one will be home)....
I have a Red ball..squashed..rolled up and throw in back of closet..this morning after I biked an hour and then jogged another mile I found it and inflated it..still good..will search for a routine myself..see! you motivate others!

Thanks again Elsie..feel thousand times better this AM..possible to over think something? I guess so..You can find anything on the net today to support any stupid diagnosis you want I guess..looking at the jelly bean and cookie diet..lose all the weight you want in 18 months..sure it works..because your deceased!
But the scientific formula should have worked! 1. take the weight you are now divided by the weight you were. 2. if the moon is full add 150..260 for all other phases 3. now factor in the calories you ate X the calories your supposed to eat. Then take the square root of that total and look up your answer..mine say's " Congradulations!! you moved up from a total Jack *** to a Horses Butt!"--wait-- wait..need to check those darn moon phases!

Val--Congrads on eating right when going out! ..and WTG on the wieght lose..warning tho..I too have a scale issue..and it tends to treat your mood like Espresso..up and excited --then down and dragging..I am going to "try" to look only once a week...great your doing this together.

still no e-mails and "smilies" I choose look good in my reply..but when posted I get a different one..

Drink up all! and have a great day

Hi all. Wow this place has been hopping since the last time I posted! I should have been done my Induction yesterday, but instead I was starting over from the beginning. It was an interesting day for me all around. One of those "where do these signs keep coming from?" kind of days. It went well, and today won't be any different.

                      You're right....I'm strong....I'm determined....and I'm worth it. I'll make a clean Induction this time, I know it. And if not....no, there's won't be a not. Have a great day everyone!

Wow...what a thunder storm we had here last night. The poor dogs were so scared!

Val...I love your posts...you have such a positive outlook! Who cares if BF is losing more. You are losing too and everyone is different. But what a sweetie that he thinks of your feelings like that. I think you are strong enough to see the victories in your own losses. Tell him congrats by the way!!

Bill..LOL...funny guy. I am glad that you are feeling better this AM. A good nights sleep to put perspective on things. BTW...look at this scientific data. A friend of a friend of a friend of my cousin's wife's brother who weighed 280...did induction for 2 weeks...lost 16 pounds....wanted to lose 80....he lost 20% of the weight in just 2 weeks!!! What a big loser he is!!! Just wondering....are you going to add your ball routine to the buddy video? LOL!

                        Monie...see...told you you were inspiring.

Okay....gotta go..DS is bugging me for the puter...Be a good day!!

Hey all! Bill, I know the ups and downs of too much weighing, I am prepared for no loss, so when I see loss it is a good thing, I will stop if I can't handle it, thanks for the heads up. I have allowed it to bring me down in the past, but no more!!!

Monie!! Be strong!! That has to be the ultimate trial, VENDOR FOOD, mini donuts, gyros, cheese curds!!! OMG, my wishes are with you that you are strong today!!!

Tomorrow, what an excellent outlook, and yes, you dont have to go thru the initial "flu" again anyway! I wish you all the best in a CLEAN two weeks!!!

ELsie, 20% in induction, that is unreal, but yea, inspiring!!

I got bf in the kitchen doing lunch and dinner today so he can see how hard I work to make our lunches, breakfasts, and dinners all week! Hehe, he and my 5 yo mixed up Linda's taco seasoning, it smells just like the real thing so far! And there's a roast in the crock for tonight. I asked him if he wanted cream and sweetener in his (decaf) coffee this am and he said' "No! I didn't lose this wt by having that crap in my fake coffee!" LOL! He won't admit it, but he is damn proud of his success!

I gotta say also, my bf is not the type to ever tell me I am overwt or that I don't look good, but yesterday he told me that he would sure like to see me get to my goal, to be skinny. He has never seen me skinny before, and I took it as a positive, that means he believes that we are going to be able to do this! So he really believes in the WOE and can see it succeeding for the both of us, that's pretty cool.

Ugh, I asked him to take my before pics yesterday, I was horrified!!! I know the camera is supposed to add 10 pounds, but I was really surprised at how I really look!! All the more motivating. It will be cool to post before and afters someday!!!

Val...the name of that guy is our very own Bill!!! LOL! I am a daily weigher as well...but I don't let it 'count' until the official weigh day. Nor do I let it affect me in a negative way. I watch the numbers on the scale in quite a detached way actually...hard to explain. I have learned never to have any soy sauce before weigh day...LOL! That I usually gain about 2-3 pounds during the day and then am back down the next morning. That sort of stuff. Tell BF lunch smells GOOD!!! Yummy!

I hear you on the picture thing. As long as I stay out of the pictures I could be in a bit of denial about my weight. No more!!! Val...if you like the taco recipe post it in my recipe thread.

Well..I am trying some Revolution Rolls today...they are in the oven as I type. The only thing is I used onion SALT instead of onion POWDER...other than that I will let you all know how it turns out. I want to post it to the recipe thread and keep that going...gotta keep trying stuff to keep bumping it up. I know it will be useful to others on their jouney.
