I had ground beef. Half the veggies you guys post I never heard off. I'm crude. I mean, what the heck is "taramosalata" without googling it? I don't know what it is G. but I'm sure it tastes great.
I don't know why, but I really do not crave foods. I do not get bored eating basically the same thing day in and day out. Maybe I should awaken that part in me and give it a serious shot. I think I'm going to take Not2late's advice and take up cooking and getting a bit imaginative with my diet.
Although I'll be honest. I've eaten alligator meat, which is very good depending how it's prepared, ostrich and I enjoy Argentinian Parillas. I've had my taste of international cuisine, French, German, etc. but it's never been a big deal to me. I guess I'm just geared that way.
I'm really a plain Vanilla sort of guy with respect to food.

It's not made with veggies. It's a Greek salad made from fish roe.

I had Greek salad without fish roe. (But I like fish roe) and chicken wings (alton brown style) and blue cheese dip

What is the microwave Rev Roll recipe you mentioned? I have searched but cannot find.

It's not on ADBB. Click on the second link in not2late's signature (the blogspot one). And then check the entry Megs posted in May this year.

Thanks from me too! I do have a question though...do you use cream of tartar in the micro version?? I don't see any mention of it except when she talks about the oven version so was curious cause i wanna try these tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if Megs uses it... What I do is beat the egg whites (by hand) without anything added. It takes 5-10 minutes. I think the cream of tartar just stabilizes the foam, but makes no difference in taste. But don't quote me on this one.

I like to think I am burning more by whipping the egg whites than I consume by eating the rolls...

                          It also prevents overeating.

Hello Everyone ~ Today I just made what I call "Hamburger Soup"

                            1lb Lean 85/15 % Hamburger
6 tbs Butter Salted or Unsalted
                            28oz can Petite Diced Tomatoes
                            13.5oz can Spinach, Drained
                            2 ~ 4oz cans Mushrooms, Drained
3 cups of Tap or Bottled Water

Season to your taste, I used Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend & a few tbs of Bob's Red Hot Wing Sauce!!!

Add a lil EVOO to your pan brown the Hmb, then add the Butter till melted, add all the Veggies, then Water, Season to taste, heat through to desired temp & serve.

Makes approx 9~1cup servings at 3.5 net carb each

If you try this I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!!!

                              Re: cream of tartar

You really don't need it if you follow the microwave cooking directions because the cooking is done within minutes so it doesn't leave much time for the egg whites to deflate.

And beating the whites or even heavy cream by hand isn't that bad. If it's one or two egg whites, I tend to use a bowl and a dinner fork---less to clean, imo. And as G. said, it is exercise.

Half the veggies you guys post I never heard off.
They're all on the Induction Acceptable Foods list.

Anyhow, tonight I'm having lamb shanks. They're in the crock pot cooking as I type. I gathered some beet greens from the garden early this morning (before it started raining), so that will be veggie tonight.

Awesome!! This morning I tried the micro bread recipe and WOW!! I love it! My husband was so impressed he had to try it! I made some mock hamburger white gravy with burger and a tad bit of heavy cream and lots of pepper with the "mock" biscuit that I made...I topped the Mock biscuit with butter and the mock gravy...while they had the real biscuits and gravy...I felt good about myself for working the plan to fit into my lifestyle!! Thanks again! Rocks!!!
