Pre-Breakfast - Atkins Chocolate Royale Shake

        Breakfast - MUP with almonds

Lunch - 5 ounces Broccoli Slaw with mayo and Splenda

Snack - 1 cup jicama; 1 ounce cheddar cheese

Dinner - 2 links (6 ounces total) of Chicken Sausage with Fresh Green Onion; 1 whole, large, cucumber; 5 ounces cauliflower topped with 1 ounce cheddar cheese

Evening Snack - 2/3 cup cottage cheese with Splenda and 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa

        Fitday Totals:
        1569 calories
45 net carbs; 24 of those net veggie carbs (79g carbs - 34g fiber = 45 net carbs)
        62% Fat
        12% Carbs
        26% Protein

I'm not usually a sausage eater, but I saw some at Whole Foods today that caught my interest. It's called Hans' All Natural Chicken Sausage, Fresh Green Onion Flavor. The label says "Minimally Processed - No Artificial Ingredients - No Nitrates or Nitrites Added - No MSG Added - No Sugars Added". Ingredients: Skinless Chicken, Fresh Green Onions, Contains less than 2% of the following: Fresh Cilantro, Roasted Garlic, Black Pepper, Soy Sauce (Water, Wheat, Soy Beans, Salt), Salt, in a Natural Pork Casing. It was pretty good. I won't have it too often, because it did have a lot of sodium... but it was a nice little change. I have another serving left, so I will have it again - soon, too, because there are no preservatives in it. Then I will wait before buying it again.

I am still only weighing once a week. Still probably a good idea for me, so I don't drive myself mad with normal weight fluctuations. I'm so full right now... let's just say that I don't exactly feel skinny right now. I am paranoid of cottage cheese... it's probably all in my head, but I will be curious on what the scale will have to say on Sunday after having it 3 times this week.

            Today's menu:

B: 1 large egg with mayo, 1oz cheddar cheese & decaf with cream & splenda
            L: Big, multi-veg salad & 1 chorizo sausage
D: tonight, definitely Mickey D's on the way to class. I am kind of craving a cheeseburger. I guess I could get a salad with it, but that's tbd. A dry, fast food salad just doesn't sound appealing at this moment in time. Gotta get my veggies up somehow!

Snack: 1 oz cheddar and decaf

            Fat: 74% Carbs: 7% Protein: 19% Calories 1023

Somebody...anybody...please wish me luck with these interviews. I am 2 down with 1 or possibly 2 to go this week, and going a little bananas! I think that last night's went well - the first two guys really grilled me and then the HR manager completely turned the tables and began wooing me. I don't know what to think.

Mitzi, your menu sounds divine! Way to go on the veggies. I wish we had a whole foods closer to me. That sausage sounds perfect!

I think our Wild Oats is going to be changing over to Whole Foods and I'm so excited!!

Mitzi, don't stress about the cottage cheese. If it's a problem, you know what to do!

B - Slice of corned beef

S - I never snack and im never hungry in a morning but i was ravenous today- maybe cos i got my calories so high yesterday???? i went to the store near work and the only thing i could find was cheese & Pepperami, so i ate about 2oz cheese, ignored the pepperami, its too processed

                  L - 3 egg omelette with bacon, 1/2 cup mushrooms, 1/4 onion

D - Peppered Steak, 2 cup broccoli 1 cup mushrooms, 1/2 onion, 1/2 cup cream 1 oz cheese

                  S - 2 Scrambled Egg 1 cup cherry tomatoes

I get the feeling i'll be raiding fridges for something later like yesterday

So now ive started eating more to get my calories up, i'm hungry more, whats wrong with that?

That said, i felt real skinny last night, my menu was spot on perfect with nothing processed.... i'm thinking Joy has found my problem! scales are still up though... but i'm not too bothered about them, its how i feel that counts!

Emma, perhaps you weren't eating enough before, and now that you HAVE eaten enough calories for your body to function better, your metabolism has sped up a bit. Usually when I'm really hungry, that is a GOOD thing! It means a drop in weight.

                      fingers crossed!!

Ive been feeling much better in myself today, even my boss commented that i was more myself than the depressed mood i've been in.... but maybe i just feel better mentally because i feel better physically, we will see i guess! Maybe my body was trying to tell me something, if it was, it shoulda just thrown some hunger pangs myway, i'd of understood

Thanks guys! Y'all are great. Been a tough couple of weeks. I have also been really hungry the past several days, but have been staying under on my carbs, so it must be the stress driving it. Calories have been up around the 2200-2300 mark, so there is no other explanation for it that I can think of. Anyways, thanks again!

I'm not as consistent with reporting in as you guys, but this is a pretty typical menu for me...
                          Breakfast:
3 extra large eggs fried in butter

                          225 grams jicama
                          1 pound bag frozen cauliflower
                          1 tbspn butter

                          Snacks (morning and afternoon)
                          2 boiled eggs
                          1/2 packet mayo

I have SO MANY freshly shelled pecans around my house... Barry (DH) gives gifts of candied pecans that his mom makes to his clients at Thanksgiving, and there is always a lot left over. I am making 4 pecan pies for family on Thanksgiving, but there will still be a lot left after that (I'm talking about fresh ones, not the ones that are not candied). They are soooo good. I need to stay out of them... they're awesome!

Joy - I hope that you do get that Whole Foods. They are a bit pricey, but really an amazing place to shop. I have one about 20 minutes from my house, and I usually go once a week. It is pretty much the only place I can find jicama. Walmart has jicama sometimes, but it is usually slimy there.

And I wish that I liked mustard greens... I don't eat many green leafy veggies at all. I used to eat fresh spinach instead of lettuce in the salads I made at home, but I only eat salads out now. And I've never developed a tasted for any others. I should, though, because they are so good for you.
