Yes, I am bad on the veggies rung because I LOOOVE them. I just count my carbs and make sure not to go over 25 - but eat as much veggies as I want within that limit. no measuring, etc. My body really likes this WOE -when I stick to it - so I don't worry about it.

Now if only I could stop being plucked off the wagon by candy! GRRR.

WOW! What a lot of posts in a half a day!! Woohoo! It is such a nice place to come to brainstorm and get feedback!!! I can't even reply to all the posts cuz there are so many! I am having such a tired day! Is this from my diet maybe? Anyone?? I am on day 13, I have sleep deprivation anyway, got a fussy baby that gets up 2-5 times a night to eat, maybe the exercise yesterday really wiped me out. I ended up napping this afternoon, maybe it is due to the studying I am doing, real workout for my brain after being out of school for 7 years.

Anyway, thinking of making the spicy asian cabbage off linda's site for dinner with crock pot pork chops. ANyone know what oyster sauce is and if it will be missed if I don't add it?

Candy is dandy but Liquor is....no wait...that is the wrong saying....now what is it??? Oh yeah. Just say NO!

When these temptations come up...liquor...candy...cake...whatever...I really do have an inner dialouge with myself if I am feeling tempted. Is this food item worth it. Do I REALLY want it? If I do eat it how am I going to feel afterwards...better or worse. The answer is honestly worse. I will only feel better for the time I am eating food item.

I read somewhere that we have become a generation of instant gratification. I want that car/clothes/stereo/food item now. I deserve it. I should be able to have what I want. I want what I want when I want it!!! Stomping foot!

Well...you know what?! I don't want to be like that. Nor do I want my kids to be like that. Rome wasn't built in a day. If you want something bad enough you have to work for it. The weight didn't come on overnight and it isn't going to go off overnight.

I will work for it! I am worth it! There is a time and place for everything. And this isn't the time and I know it isn't the place for (insert instant gratification item here)!
What doesn't kill me will make me stronger.

I, and only I, can control what goes into my body!! Just say NO!!

Really?? You are only on day 3??? Seems like you have been a part of this list way longer than that?? Mind you we only started 3 weeks ago. Really..day 3?? Okay...if it is day 3 then yep..totally normal. May be your version of induction flu couple with the hectic lifestyle you are leading right now.

I will need to look back at the posts...I thought your baby was about 9 months old? Why up so often to feed?? Nevermind.....none of my business...LOL!!!

Oyster sauce...nope...never used it. I would think it would make it taste less fishy???

Elsie, lol! Yeah, I meant day 13!!! You will have fun with my typos, I have them a lot! Never was a good typer, have to double check all the time! hehe

My baby is a preemie, he was born at 28 weeks, not a problem talking about it, he is just fine, but he is playing ctchup and wants to eat all day and all night! He is 9 months now, and hopefully the more solids he eats the more he will pull out of this.

Yeah, really tired today. Gonna blame it on the baby, lol.

Made the asian cabbage, it was super quick and really good!! It is from Linda's site, I will try to get it posted in the recipe thread.

Elsie~I asked about the swiss cheese because I know some cheeses are better than others and was just wondering if anyone had any problems with it. I like it but man I eat it in really small pieces because the taste can be overpowering to me. Oh,oh,oh I found a recipe in one of the members journals! She calls them "clouds" but man o man they sound delectiable! 1 stick of butter - soft, 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese - soft, 1 tsp unsweetned vanilla, 2 packets of splenda. You mix together and drop a tablespoon full onto a piece of wax paper, then you freeze til very firm. So one is a tablespoon of butter and one of cream cheese. One "cloud" is about one carb. She used these to get through hard times and man they helped cause she dropped 94 lbs! So here I come! If any of you make them, let me know and when I do I will do the same.

Mmmm, andie, sounds good! I made the mock danish from Linda's site, it is really good! We think it tastes like rice pudding cheesecake, minus the raisins.

Oooooo... I love rice pudding and cheesecake! Right up my ally! There is also a cream cheese, pumpkin, cinnimon mixture that I need to try but I am gonna wait on the pumpkin til I move up one rung.

hey everyone, what a great response to the new buddy thread. it's great to see the new faces in here. welcome to you all and i hope that you all have great success in this wol.

here's a few facts about myself, i started or should i say restarted on june 2nd.(after being off for about 6 months) i've lost 10 lbs so far, and have moved to OWL as of june 23rd. i started exercising right away and have been faithful to do atleast some type of exercise everyday. i would strongly suggest signing up for challenges, even if you can only do a moderate amount of exercise, there is probably one you could sign up for. for me it keeps me honest and dedicated to my exercise, because you have to account for it to someone besides yourself. i've signed up for the new 6 wk challenge that begins on june 29. i would love to have my buddies join me.

again, welcome to all the new buddies and i am looking forward to sharing this wonderful wol with you.

here's to much success to everyone,
                        monie

LOL...Okay Val...I thought I had a brain fart there...couldn't figure it out. I see about the baby.

Andrea...if you make the clouds be careful....they are calorie dense and are supposed to be quite tasty. They will need to be a control food..easy to overdo. I think I will pass on that. I don't want the temptation. I read about a lady who kept hers in the freezer. They lasted longer that way. Let us know how it goes. FYI...pumpkin is on the acceptable rung for induction..no need to wait.

Oh dang...I see I have to look at another page....
