        Thanks for your support. I guess that is what this site is all about, eh? But today, no weigh!! It helps knowing that I can weigh tomorrow and it will be official. Also, I think I will make Sunday my new weigh day. You know, I used to change my ticker every day? LOL

        what the rungs mean to me:
        rung 1 - more veggies
        rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
        rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
        rung 4 - berries, melon
        rung 5 - wine -
        rung 6 - beans, hummus
        rung 7 - other fruits
        rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
        rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
        Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
        (on to pre-maintenance)

          Saturday March 27, no weigh today. You almost made it Shannon. Next time you will for sure! Glad that you had a good number.

            i think i have everyone caught up and up to date. i like what i am seeing!

            yep, this is the last day for this week to be scale free.... TOMORROW [sunday], you can weigh. i sure am wishing the best for all of you

            i should have posted that myjack is traveling all day today. he's been in the orlando area all week, in a hotel, with no scale.

                I am really anxious to weigh tomorrow! I am leaving next Saturday for a week vacation and won't weigh again until I get back the following Sunday. So, I will weigh Saturday and then the next Sunday. A little worried about traveling and staying on task but I have done it before. I can do this, too!

                    Happy Saturday!

                    I am sooooo nervous about tomorrow. Somehow, within the last two days I have dropped completely out of ketosis. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary ... been drinking plenty of water ... eating the right foods ... did Tai Chi yesterday ... what could be wrong?

                    And, by dropping out of ketosis, the temptation to get on that scale is overwhelming - but then again, I am scared to death to see what the scale will tell me tomorrow. Ugh!

                    Well, best of luck to all of you tomorrow! Can't wait to see your results!

                          no weighing for me. i'm also anxious, as many of you are. i don't think i've lost anything but the words of my radiology oncologist the other day, in his korean accent ... "have you been having trouble with gaining weight". i wanted to say "nope, no trouble at all! i'm gaining just fine!".

                            lets talk about this a little bit. keep in mind that those stix are a tool not an absolute.
                            are you absolutely sure nothing changed?
                            are you checking for ketones after exercise? after eating? after a whole lot water?
                            lets talk about stress. did you know that stress can add pounds to your body? THAT'S WHERE ALL MY WEIGHT CAME FROM!!!!
                            seriously, stress is no good. go ahead and google 'stress and obesity' or some like term.
                            i think stress can kick you out of ketosis. now i would have google that too and find out if there is any truth to it but for me and my belief, i think stress can make you colorless on those strips.

                              OK, Rebbekka... deep breath. You can be in ketosis without changing the color of Ketostix. Those sticks only change color if you have an excess of one particular ketone body (out of three) that is excreted in urine. They don't take into account all three ketone bodies or the ketone bodies present in blood. As long as you have ketone bodies in blood, you're in ketosis.
