    Hi!

    Thank you, Jimmie and Georgiana for your words of encouragement and education.

    So ... with great anticipation ... I stood on that wicked ol' scale ... and ... I lost ... not a frickin' ounce. Still at 181.0 Ugh!

    Well, this week, I begin weight training at the Y along with cardio. Let's see if that makes any difference. [I doubt it - why break up a great "run" now?]

      What about inches? Are your clothes fitting looser?

      Good for you!

      Don't freak out though if you see an increase on the scale. When I changed my weight training routine, I gained something like 5 lbs overnight (not fat, of course)... and it took over a week for the "masses" (sorry, Jo ) to leave.

          Did I say that I didn't weigh yesterday? If I didn't... I didn't.

          And I weighed this morning and lost... <drum roll> ... 0.1 lbs!!!

                weighed today, up a little, but was later in the day since I was out of town.

                    I measured myself Friday. No change there either. And, no, they aren't fitting any looser than they had (from losing the initial 17 lbs.).

                      Rebekka I am on day 11 with no weight loss, actually .6 higher than 11 days ago before. You could be like me and stopped right after I started RUNG 1. I went 12 days without a loss. Don't fret yet. I go from 5-12 days after weight loss. I was sooo upset after that 12 day stop but I have learned since that is just me, could be you too. I know it's frustrating, but it will come off.

                      How long have you been on RUNG 1?

                      Try on some smaller clothes and see how they fit.

                        Ok, I am pulling myself out of the challenge for now. Since I already cheated last week there is no point in me staying. Maybe I will try in a couple of weeks. I just can't stay away from the scale.

                            Why don't you move to RUNG 2 or if you don't like dairy go on to RUNG 3? You may start to see a difference.

                              I thought you had to stay at a certain Rung till you have a 'continuous weight loss' - where as I have had none!

                              If that's the case, then I'll go up a Rung. Is that right??

                                You haven't had any weight loss in 9 weeks? That can't be right, it says you got to 188 on 2/10 and today you were at 181. That is a difference of 7 lbs in 1.5 months. You have lost weight on RUNG 1. Some people still lose weight even at pre-maintenance.

                                Just by those stats it seems like you are right on track for the amount of weight you want to lose. I moved up rungs even if I didn't lose weight. I am more looking for my CCLL since I have chosen not to have a weight loss goal. That got me too frustrated.

                                Since you are far from being obese, I would move to RUNG 2. You can stay there as long as you want. I just got bored very quickly and wanted to eat more dairy.

                                We all will have pauses. My weight loss is a constant stall until 3 days of significant weight loss. It's just the way I am programmed.

                                I think your body is bored too.

                                If you are really concerned post a fit day menu. Make sure you are getting enough water (that is a weight loss deal breaker for me). Make sure your fats are above 50% Most on here will suggest in the 60% range. I find I don't make over 60% daily fat some days. Eat your veggies too!
