hahaha! I needed that Andie! I bet not!! I'm having a day. Just can't get study time in is all. I gotta snap outta it. And the kids keep going in and out of the house all day and I feel like one big mosquito bait!! I hate the buggers!!!!!

Oh, bf called to say that his lunch was wonderful!! It was the broccoli crunch salad and 2 burgers with swiss on top, LC ketchup and brown mustard on the side. (Yay, I found LC ketchup yesterday!!) Then he has his snacky things for his total of 4 hours drive each day too, pickle spear, couple of boiled eggs, one Diet Rite. He's kinda spoiled, I think! LOL!

Hey, I posted in the pregnancy/breastfeeding thread, which I don't forsee getting a response to anytime soon, but does anyone here know if there is truth to what someone posted in there, saying that Dr Atkins said that the diet is safe for nursing, but it will painfully slow wt loss due to the hormones necessary to supply breastmilk? I always thought nursing helped BURN calories, so can anyone help me with that question? I don't see it mentioned in the book anywhere. I have given this kid 9 months, and if that is so, I will be a bit more hasty in weaning him, I need to get healthy, now that I have gotten him healthy.

Ok, just got the P-nut to sleep, gotta get some work done!!

BF called to say his lunch was wonderful? You have a very good man there!!

I read the thread where you posted. If you don't get a response...or now I would post in the main forum...I think there is a higher volume of people there. It certainly seemed to be six of one half a dozen of the other.

So, since your Doctor said it would be okay it may come down to a personal choice. Any advice following is from my own experiences of kids and the rules may have changed since then. Your baby is 9 months but you are to consider him 6 months. At 6 months you can start him on pablum. This is going to help him feel fuller longer...you may get some sleep at night. I BF (LOL...hmm...better right that out as those are the same initials as Boy Friend) Breastfed both my kids until 9 months old. they weaned themselves. At 6 months I started with pablum and baby formula. It does keep them satisfied longer as it seems to be more substantial. I gave my babies their formula in a sippy cup instead of a bottle. They never had bottles. So I didn't have to wean them from that as well. I suspect that since your baby is a premmie that he may be used to a bottle already. If that is the case you could use the formula every other fed or last fed at night and any that he wakes up for. The bright side of that is that BF can take a fed at night on one of his days off if willing. You could still breastfed during the day. I think you said that he is now on a normal curve so I don't see any harm in it. I would probably keep him on the formula until at least a year anyway. Was it your regular doctor or a pediatricion?? You could also phone a health unit for their opinion.

Okay...so all my own opinion. Good luck!

~Andrea..didnt like the spinich huh? LOL, Noted, thank you .

Wanna hear something cool? Too bad I'll tell ya'll anyways..my husband (Al) was asked to be in the band at our church! He is a phenominal (spell that right?) bass player and sings pretty dang well too. Our church owns this club/pool hall/sports club/band venue that has a house band and they wanted MY husband to sing backup and play bass! I am so proud of him. He hasnt been in a band since we got married so he is so excited. And I am too. I am married to a rock star! LOL. They do all classic rock too and you can dance. So much fun. Its a pretty big venue too. Bands like Switchfoot and Family force five have played there (if anyone knows them). Ok anyways I have got to feed my fat before I get cravings for crap!

Ok, so what is pablum and where the heck do you get it???? I would love to sleep at night, poor bf has been sleeping on the couch lately cuz he needs his rest for work and the big drive. I have to wean the little guy out of my bed now, ugh, the messes I get myself into. He has been getting up 5x a nite for so long, I started falling asleep with him in bed, now bf feels crowded and sleeps on the couch during the week. Sorry to the guys here for this BF talk, btw. But I really want to know if I discontinue, will the wt come off easier. I can't find that quote in the book anywhere. It was my reg doc that said it wouldn't hurt him a bit. I am stepping him down mostly to formula in the daytime, cuz I have a sitter take him 3 days for 4 hours so I can study. And I start the CNA class July 21st so I will be gone full time. I am thinking maybe just getting him weaned would benefit everyone. The formula seems to keep him fuller, thats all I gave him since brkfst and he has been asleep for 2.5 hours!!! Unreal!!! But anyway, I want to know what this pablum is. The Dr said there is no reason for him to be feeding during the night, he should be able to go 8 hours.

Andie, yes, I just got accepted into the nursing program for this fall, starting with some generals I need right now, so as to make use of my time while I wait. Doesn't pay to search for a job for just the summer. Congrats on the rock star!!! How fun!!!

Pablum will be in with the baby food. It is like baby cereal. You might know it by a different name. It is usually the first 'food' a baby has.

I don't think anyone is going to be able to answer conclusively about whether the weight will come off quicker or not. Each body is soooo different. For instance I actually lost weight when I became pregnant. And got pregnant while breastfeeding...so there goes those theories!! LOL! Gained it back afterward. I think...especially since you will soon be going to be away from home that you should start with the cereal/pablum and the formula. During the day...just as he is starting to fall asleep from feeding lay him gently in his crib so he gets used to being there. I know it is hard..especially because he was a premmie. My DS was a fertility drug baby (and had some speech problems and an anxiety disorder) and we did tend to baby him a bit too much. It is not a good thing to do and is detrimental to his well being. So anyway..at night after he eats a bit of cereal and has his bottle...put him in his crib. If he wakes up you can bring him to bed then if you are too tired. Make a couple of bottles of formula before you go to bed so you just have to grab it. They don't HAVE to have it warmed up once they get older....but you could just run it under some hot water or pop it in the mic for a bit if you want. JMO

Hey hey hey, Buddies! I'm here! (walks around giving high 5's to all the buddies). Man the things that go on here when you step out of the room for a few hours!

Well, I'm doin' good and feelin' fine. I ditched the Crystal Lite from my daily water routine and believe it or not, I'm actually enjoying my water more. I started using it again thinking it would cure the boredom, but it turned out I wasn't really bored at all. So it's plain water for me.

I probably won't be around much for the next week as we're moving to a new place in July. The big pack is going on this weekend and then of course the big move to go along with it. You'll all be in my happiest thoughts though!

Don't do anything exciting without me......
