Re: Buddy List June 24-29
hey y'all! i made it through the big company picnic....whew........took my oopsie rolls for my bread, had a hamburger and hotdog, and also took an 8 oz diet rite with me. only one person commented about the bread, and all they said was they looked good, but looked like pancakes. i told them it was homemade bread, and my doctor had told me i needed to cut out flour and sugar. that's all that was said after that. thank goodness.
now on to other news. i had to go see an ear, nose, throat specialist today. been having quite a few sinus infections over the last ear or so.
here's the news i got........"you have a deviated septum, and i recommend surgery to correct it" ...........whoa, not what i expected to hear. also not something i'm ready to deal with since just found out that DH has Graves' disease.(extreme overactive thyroid) so now, gonna have a decision to make about myself and decide if i can just deal with the infections or surgery(and being off for a week afterwards). should i decide on the surgery, it won't be for a while, gotta concentrate on getting hubby better first. it may sound like i'm putting him in front of myself, but my situation is not life threatening and his is very serious.
anyway, been a crazy day and crazy week, but i'm hanging in there stronger than ever. thank you all for listening to me, it's great to see everyone in here. i know i don't always respond to every post, but i read each one and draw so much inspiration from them.
have a good evening, will try to check in later tonight
monie

that kind of night out! LOL! We have cut way back, and with it being summer, I am amazed that we have stayed home or done other things with the kids. We are a couple that needs our social time.
I realize that a night out may knock us off track for a few days, but if we keep everything else the same, I think it will be worth it in the end. Especially with being a student now, I need to unwind once in awhile. So actually, we are being healthier this way! From how much we used to go out. Anywaaaay....
NOTE: I couldn't get the cream to get fluffy. I think it should have been beaten until stiff first, then folded into the cream cheese, jello mixture.
, just trying to stay real, and keep this WOE, while making it work for us.
I think we both thought he would lose more, but he sure looks good!! He looks like he lost half his tummy and his face looks so much skinnier!! He looks and feels so much healthier. As do I. I was reading the book, and it said adding that next serving of veg will slow wt loss, so I am still up in the air on that. I just don't know!
