      Doing the happy dance for you and BF Val!!! That is great!
      As far as weight lose slowing by climbing the rungs...last time I lost about the same during induction. I went on to lose 60 pounds in 7 months. Some weeks I lost nothing some weeks I lost 4 pounds. I think it is highly unlikely that that would happen on rung one with just 5 more veggie carb grams. I suspect that some days some of us go over that anyway. Same with the cheese as Linda's site seems to use lots of that.

      I will explain a bit more about the rungs later. DS is wanting on the puter. First day of no school.

      I am so happy you got some decent sleep in!!! Everyone is going to benefit from it!

      If you post that recipe in the recipe thread just post it the right was so someone else doesn't make the same mistake.

        Afternoon buds!
        Site was down and was not able to post this AM..This day couldn't end fast enough! (he say's, looking over his shoulder) horrible thing about the cubicle system my office is laid out in..every cubicle has it's own Bunny with giant ears that hears and remembers every word you say and some how they always know when your on-line doing a no-no..and wander by to take a peek in..
        even this A.M. I finally had the chance to meet the new guy..shake his hand and he say's..oh yeah your married with a daughter and you live on the Cape and you torture your animals! HUH? I don't even know this dude's name!!??
        sorry for the rant..Elsie--there room on that couch? I need therapy too!
        Paranoia is setting in..

        So how's everyone else? LOL
        will check in this evening..dinner tonight is Linda's Zucchini, Mushroom and sour cream bake. Tossed salad with Ceasar and Pan Seared boneless Pork Chops.

          ok, Bill, we will be sure to leave room on the couch for you, lol.

          Elsie, I guess I decided to move onto rung 1. There is no reason to keep depriving ourselves if the wt loss is going to slow anyway. I have updated my siggy accordingly, wt loss, goals, rungs etc. **Holding on to the first rung, but looking down at the safety net I am leaving, and hoping I can do this!!**

            I stated yesterday that at lunch I ate to much calories in the meat I had.
            We went to a chinese place and I was prepared with a list of everything they have and what I could eat..but when he brought me the steamed chicken it was so good it was hard to stop..only 2 carbs per cup..but at over 700 calories each--EEEP!

                The board was down this morning.
                I am running around in circles trying to meet deadlines before all of the dr. offices close early at noon (cuz they're spoiled!) :P

                Gotta run ... ..... does that count as activity? LOL.

                  Ok, I already vented in my journal but I need some love! Here is a review of my week....

                  Monday: I had the go's (TIM I know, sorry)
                  Tuesday: still goin!
                  Weds: Bad headache and nausea
                  Thurs: no power for 15 hours- we had a t-storm but where I live if a dog farts in the next county, we will lose power! So no blow-dryer or stove..2 must haves!
                  Friday: woke up with a stye..just call me the Hunchback!

                  All of this while still staying on Atkins! Go me!

                  Oh and the in-laws will be out this weekend to top it all off! And I worl tomorrow!

                  I am looking forward to next Monday ( ever hear that before?)

                  ~Andrea... I am an Andrea Jean but I have only been called Andie. Well my husbands best friend (I mention he is hot) calls me Ann but I will let him get away with it. Dr's that close at 12? Huh? I wanna work by you. I am lucky if I get off at 12 on a Saturday!

                    Splendea--(have you decided on a nick yet?) don't think the before running around will count as excercise...
                    The climbing up the money tree to pay those Doctor's tho...
                    (Doctor's that close at 12..?) you better be prepared to get way up in those high branches to take care of those guy's

                    Andiepie--Hmmm--how to make you feel better? um--oh-the house didn't get hit by lightning! and--um--Your in laws are bringing you a present! (Shhh--it's a secret) and --um--Hair dryers--um--Cause Split Ends!!

                        Thank you Bill. They better bring me one..oh oh oh I know what it is, they are bringing my brother-in-law with them! He is one of the biggest sob's I have ever met (I have met quite a few) in my life, so bad my husband wants nothing to do with his own brother. Woohhooooo! I am so excited! Thank you for trying to cheer me up .

                          The docs only close at 12 on Fridays. They have big houseboats they need to get on, so, ya.. No, they did NOT invite me. GRRRRR. Oh well, my work is done for the day, and I love that! I do have to work a bit over the weekend, but that's okay. I am babysitting my great niece for the weekend anyway -she's two weeks older than my DS, so they have a blasty blast together.

                          I feel like cheating right now! Somebody tell me why that would be bad. I am going to go root around for ingredients for that key lime pie!

                              Bill...always room on the couch...come sit down (patting the couch beside her and putting a hat made of tinfoil on his head). Dinner sounds so good! Good supporting Andie...I think she feels better...

                              Val...that is exciting news. I know it is scary to leave induction. But it is an important first step to success! <<The first week you add in an 5 net grams of carb. If this is a new food to you, then eat it nore than 3 times a week. If it's a food you've already had in your plan then eat that food in moderation one time daily. If you have no triggers or cravings, then you can successfully add this food rung into your diet. Otherwise, please stop straight away.>> The rest of the days you just eat 5 more carb grams of acceptable induction veggies.

                              Splandrea...that would be BAD BAD N BAD. Don't do it girl!!!

                              Welcome fennela! FYI..I also am 44 and have PCOS.

                              Splandrea...it only counts if while you are doing so your hands are waving crazily above your head and the kids can't stop laughing at you. Otherwise...sorry...doesn't count!

                              Andie...just think how wonderful next week is going to seem. You did great! Got a plan to stay on plan while inlaws in town??

                              Welcome livelaughlove08...Well we already know that you do as your told!

                              Okay...while Andie was chowing down on her cauliflower pizza and Bill was eating his chinese chicken....I have learned the lesson that I cannot have pork rinds in this house. Two bags in two days is NOT GOOD! Definately will affect the scale monday....SIGH!!! Okay...they say confession is good for the soul...I'm still not feeling great about that!
