Mine are Saucony Hurricanes. The sales girl tried to talk me into Asics, but I have had a really bad experience with those, so they make me nervous. Anyway, these shoes were great last night. First run, no blisters! Yay!

I love nectarines and apples! Those are my two favorite "other" fruits. I ALWAYS eat fruit with something high-fat, like nuts, nut butter, cheese, or cream. Try 1/2 piece of fruit (or perhaps less, depending on how many carbs you're eating now) with a fat. Nectarine pieces in cream is SOOOO good, and apple with peanut butter is delish.

Eggplant (aubergine) is something I have NEVER had luck with. It's never cooked right for me, and the texture is always funky. Hopefully there are others who can give you some good recipes!

OMG, Greek yogurt is one of the best things EVER! I ate mine with fruit and nuts. Some people just eat it with nuts, some people just eat it with fruit, some people just sweeten it and eat it with nothing added, some people use it as a dip, some people use it for sauces...the possibilities are endless! It's really rich, and incredibly satisfying.

I used to drink the Calorie Countdown chocolate milk by Hood. It was 4g net carbs for an 8oz. glass...but it was sooooooo good I was becoming addicted. So I gave it up and haven't had it since May. I might try it again in the fall and hopefully I won't dream about it all day long like I did before.

            Weigh in today
2 more pounds and 6 inches. The exercise really does help!

Part of inches and pounds were TOM aftermath, but I'm glad to see them gone. I bought a pair of pants 4-6 weeks ago that were tight at the time, then they got loose, then I wore a belt with them and this week the belt wasn't enough! I love this WOE!

I had to buy a new pair of work pants last night-15 Junior, and I got in a size 13 with a little muffin top. I started with Women's size 20-pretty tight.

Valid & Silly, you know it will come off, just stay strong and hang on. You both have done so great and are such inspiration for the rest of us.

Congratulations to everybody, we're doing great and making the world a more beautiful place!

Self, great job on the running!

And don't feel bad about the "small fortune" for the shoes. It's really worth it to spend money and buy the RIGHT shoes for your feet. That will prevent you from having knee problems, blisters, shin splints, etc. in the future!

Hey Julie...well it was my official weigh in day and I'm up 2 pds...but down 4.25 inches...we should be tallying up the inches too
One day at at time...today I will do what I need to do to reach my goal.

Oh lord, I don't know if I can do pounds and inches. I'm keeping track of pounds because that was a "goal." I certainly hope that everybody is keeping track of their inches on their own! It's going to be pretty awesome when we find out how many INCHES we've all lost!

                            Hi Everyone

I've missed posting and reading daily, but my brother and his fiance were here staying with me for a few days and dropping off their kitty while they are away for awhile.

They left this afternoon so now I can get back into some kind of a routine.

Its so fantastic how well everyone is doing. This is a hip happenin thread! Its hard catching up sometimes when you aren't around for a few days but fun to read all the posts.

I have managed to stay on track even with my guests here. They both have no problem eating low carb, so it has been meals as usual.

As for the exercise, I got out of my treadmill routine but still did my ab crunches every day. I got my steps in at the mall or doing yard work.

Well, I finally caught up on posting all my stats for the challenges...phew...this is a job in itself. I think I will post in my journal later and catch up reading some of yours.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone. Stay legal. Looking forward to weighing and measuring on Wednesday...Good Lord I never thought I would utter those words...
