I'm glad I'm not the only one. There are certain times of the month that I literally have to hold the girls still while I'm jogging. I have yet to find a supportive athletic bra for big breasted women.

    YBB WORKOUT, Thurs., Feb. 23

My coworker bought the YBB workouts. She gave them to me to guinea pig them for her!!! I find these workouts way too easy. Do I sound like an exercise snob? She has just started working out to DVDs. She asks me my opinion, I just smile and say "its a great beginner's workout". Again, I sound like an exercise snob. I let her borrow my Start It Up -- we'll see how she likes that.

I realized something today as I was doing the TJ 20 minute workout. I really don't think I like TJ. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not liking it any better. It's really hard for me to keep up with all the moves, so I end up kind of flailing around and not working the right muscles. And it's really easy for me to do things wrong, so I feel like I'm straining my back and knees a lot more than other workouts.

I know I need more cardio, and I can't take another 6 weeks with Debbie all by herself. I need to figure out a new routine, and FAST!

LC, Turbo Jam is not a "favorite" of mine so much either. I tend to throw my back out it seems, a lot, on those "pump it's". I do like the Turbo Sculpt though. I really need to finish this challenge!!! But no vidoes today either. Company in town. I did get a walk in with the kids and some tennis and a little raquetball today, and lots of chasing the kids around. That was fun. The back is still not right though, so not too much on the tennis and raquetball. Man, did I suck!! I USED to be able to play tennis a little LOL.

I haven't touched Turbo Jam in awhile. Hubby & I don't like it very much because we feel so uncoordinated and don't feel that we get a good workout since we just flop around like chickens without heads. Maybe I'll give ole Charlene another chance in a couple of months, but I seem to either hurt my knees or ankles and hubby usually hurts his lower back or knees with that workout.

I hope you find something that you like, LC. Let us know what you decide!

I've done some reading on videofitness.com, and I think that I'm going to try out one of Karen Voight's cardio tapes (probably burn & firm, as half & half is hard to find). She's supposed to be pretty no-nonsense, and provide an intermediate workout with minimal chatter. Cathe Friedrich is supposed to be good, but hard, and I HATE step with a vengeance, so that limits me in the cardio that I can do. My DH did point out that I could just bike (I have a recumbent bike) on cardio days and skip the tapes, but I feel addicted to the tapes right now. I also have a ton of Sharon Mann taped from Fit TV, so I may rotate those in as well.

Has anyone here tried the Firm series? I like the idea of having a set of tapes with a built in rotation. I like that about the Slim Series stuff. I think that Firm is step, too, though.

By the way - Results of 6 weeks of Slim Series:

                    Lost 2% body fat.
Weight is currently up about 2 pounds, but I cheated on Friday, so I really think it stayed about the same.
Measurements are measuring the same, but clothes are noticeably fitting better.

I have the Firm. I was working with that before we started the SiS challenge. Yup, it's step. And it's rough! LOL.

I was just checking out the Firm's website. Maybe it's time I tried step again. Afterall, I thought I hated working out to videos too, before I started Si6.

The Firm's site is currently offering the transfirmer, supercharged sculpting, aerobic body shaping, ultimate calorie burn, and an abs tape for $60.00 total. Is that a good price?

I haven't evern opened lower body jam or cardio party 2 yet, so I could sell those on eBay and get the Firm stuff instead.

I have all kinds of workout tapes from the Firm. Some are from the 80s (gotta love the big hair & leg warmers!), but also the workout tapes that came with the "fanny lifter." I know they've put out newer stuff with the workout bar and some updated step contraption, but I don't own those yet. The Firm workouts are tough, but they are certainly doable. You're not going to have a gazillion reps on each leg like Slim in 6, but they are challenging in their own right. It's a well thought out routine. Oh, and no funky dance moves like TJ (since you're trying to get away from that).

If you decide to purchase the latest Firm workouts, you'll have to give us a review!
