Thanks Jackie and Elise! I'm stayin' true! It's getting hard, but I know it's just a bump in the road. Just a bit bored with the same foods...

I can't believe about the sugar thing Elsie! She must have wanted to sweeten you up for something! LOL! j/k. Yeah like Jackie said...prepare for 4lbs to go WHOOSH! (I wish, you wish, we all wish!) But don't feel too down about it... you didn't do it deliberately and it will be out of your system soon enough.

Bad day for me today so far, but I'm back to trying to post finally. I only have two string cheezes (totalling 2oz of cheese) to eat all day until I get home. I had no time to pack lunch. I know it's horrible for me, but it's SOMETHING and my body won't be deprived for 6 hours or whatever so it's okay. I also NEED to get my fat a$$ to the gym tonight LOL.

Off I go to read my book about maybe adding some more veggies.
So I won't hesitate no more, no more

Ok, so I read a few chapters... mainly learning about OWL and adding carbs slowly, 5g a week.

I am thinking about either adding 1/2 c. strawberries 3x a week (it says 3x a week max) or some nuts - but I am not sure yet. I really wish we could add DIFFERENT vegetables - corn... all kinds of peas... etc... But I do love my strawberries and nuts, so that would be a top choice for me.

It really enforces the thought in my head that it is going to slow down my weight loss tho... which is ALREADY slow... so I am just not so sure what to do. Besides the given of EXCERSIZING MORE!!!! lol. I really want to be under 160 in 8 days...2 lbs in a week... so possible but yeah...taking it a week at a time...

What do you all think? Add in the strawberries, nuts, or maybe some black olives (we had taco salad last night but I didn't add the olives yet...) or just stick it out on Induction until Sept. 5th (which will be 1 complete month, 5 weeks-ish) and increase the excersize ?
So I won't hesitate no more, no more

Monie...and you will succeed this time!!! Isn't it amazing that despite doing it in the past and losing that still you can learn something new on the threads. Love it!

Jackie...Green Eggs and Ham...now there is an Atkins book about eating your veggies if ever there was one...LOL...would you could you on a train? LOL! No thoughts of cheating actually entered my head. It was definately sweet and I may have gotten a rush out of it as afterwards a cleaning spree happened...along with a headache and while I had no cravings my body is hungrier...meaning it wanted to be fed before bed and first thing this morning. So that is new as usually I am not hungry. Interesting.

Britini...just my 2 cents following...I know that you are thinking.."if I have to eat another vegtable I am going to scream!" but why not try for just one week and then move on to dairy. How easy is it to add 5 carbs of veggies? Check out this link
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ables-owl.html it can be a simple as fleshing out your salads with a bit more cucumber and other acceptable veggies...not much...5 carbs can add up fast depending on the veggies you pick. Have a stuffed pepper for extra carbs.

Okay so say you are still saying no way. I think if you are going to jump a rung then only jump one and go to dairy...you can have some extra sour cream on your stuffed 'potatoe' from Linda's site...have some low carb yogurt (which would be a great grab and go part of a meal for you along with the cheese strings)..and don't forget the ricotta and cream with sweetner...oh and I had a nice hot cereal that is sort of like cream of wheat. How about a 'latte'? Don't skip veggies, dairy and nuts and go straight to berries. Dr A wrote them in that order for a reason. While I would say it is okay to skip one there are lessons to be learned along the way that I think are important to your success and if you are changing stuff around too much in the beginning without trying his way to see if it works for you then you are doing the Britini diet not the Dr A diet. If after you try it and its not working for you then tweaking it is fine. Remember all our advice is given by the book.

Okay..still going to do it your way? I will be honest here...Monie and I did the veggie and dairy rung and then switched the nut and berry rung as it was berry season. But if you are skipping the first two then maybe you are considering the nut rung. Peanut butter. Small bags of individual servings of nuts made up ahead of time for your grab and go lunch. Almond flour (grind them yourself to save $$) for breading.

Okay..gave you my opinion...take it or leave it...I think doing it in order would be best for you. And will give you greater knowledge of your body and how it works and more knowledge to help those you are going to be helping as a personal trainer. Let us know what you decide. We don't promise not to throw tomatoes..if we do it is just us trying to get more veggies in ya! LOL! One more cent before I post this. I think you (and me, for that matter) need to get back to the planning our day out. Remember in the beginning with your Mom and you guys were cooking ahead and you were making your lunches the night before? If you had some stuff already precut and in the fridge it would make it a lot easier on you through the week even if it is a pain for those few hours you are doing it on your day off. You are worth the work!!!

So what do you think?? Glad you are coming back to post. Miss your exciting and postive attitude!! Big hugs!

          Hey Brittni,

You said you just want to change it up a bit? Listen to Elsie, she's MEGA SMART!

Stay the course and don't cheat. Sept 5th is only next Tuesday. You can do this. Look how far you've come. Once you get to your goal of 159 you will feel so empowered!

<--- I like this bickering face! That's how I look typing this. Make us proud Brittni, you can do this!

Hey, if you step it up a beat in the exercise, I will do the same in full support of your efforts. You can check with Bill to make sure I'm on the straight and narrow with this promise. LOL !

            Afternoon everybody.
Well, I ended up doing exactly the thing I swore I wasn't going to do - drifted away from the plan and away from the forums. Now I've had my fun and found out (again) that it was that much fun after all. Sunday's weigh in will be the pits, but I'll do it, post it, and go on.

            See you all tomorrow.

              Hi Mike!

Glad to see you online. Bill needs the male interaction. All this estrogen is going to eventually drive him crazy. I should know, I'm the master at driving him nuts!

I'm glad to see you back on board with this WOL. It really is truly amazing. I've gone from a minimum of 5 infections (at least 1/2 full blown) down to 3 infections (only 1 slightly annoying). And although I'm still in pain from my sciatic nerve problem, I'm still feeling way way better than I did pre-diet. So, if my infections at the very least, that I've been getting for well over 20 years have improved drastically, I know that this diet can make you feel better too! Just stick with it, you can do it.

OK, I don't know why I just gushed out this info to you. Guess, I just feel the need to chit-chat.

Have a terrific long weekend, and I look forward to reading your posts next week!

Hey Mike....I am glad to see you back! Funny how when we start to drift away from this WOE we stop checking in as regular too, huh? I used to do the same thing. Let me know if there is anything I can do. I know you can win this fight. Remember you only lose if you quit...as long as you are trying you are still a winner!

Jackie...last time I did Atkins all my pain went away. This time not all but a good 80% anyway. Glad you are mending!

I know, I know, Elsie is always right. I won't add in berries... I'll try for the yogurt. I just HATE adding dairy because I'm part lactose... it doesn't make me barf but it I can't digest it well to say the least... (constipation) But I know yogurt helps with that so we'll see...I do love cottage cheese.

MY HEART (STOMACHE) VS. MY HEAD LOL

Thanks Jackie! I'll step up that excersize tonight right away MA'AM! However, SEPT. 5TH ISN'T NEXT TUESDAY LMAO. It's next FRIDAY! (Thank GAWD, otherwise I'd only have 3 days instead of 7!)

Mike.... so glad that even if you fall off plan a little bit you always come back to us. STAY STRONG

                    Hey everyone!

Yesterday was a bit of a bummer because I inadvertently blew my clean extended induction ... my husband, King Custard - Wizard of all Custard Makers - surprised me with a beautiful-looking, sugar-free custard, baked just for me. I spooned it up, thinking it was made of only eggs and cream (yum yum) but paused in the middle of bite #3. It tasted suspiciously .... thin. "Did you make this with cream?" I asked the Custard King. "No. You're on a diet. I made it with SKIM MILK." I nearly hurled that spoonful clear across the living room. Pleh pleh!

I've tried to explain the Atkins principles to him, but clearly he just ain't gettin' it! Bad Custard King ... BAD!

Anyway, forgive me, Father Atkins, for I have sinned. Now I will go and sin no more. (I kept looking at my belly to see if it would pop out, like one of those built-in turkey thermometers ... but, happily, it stayed deflated. Yay!)

Have a great Labor Day weekend, everyone

LOL! Well not always right...LOL!!! That is great news Britini. Cottage cheese is great too because you can get a little container for the fridge at work as well. And of course you are still going to try to get those 3 cups of veggies in. I just had me a cup of cauliflower soup...Yum!!!

Just for the inductees (cause Britini already knows and is testing me) the Gyros are on Oopsie rolls (Right?) and the peas are actually snow peas.

Don't worry about it and just get right back on plan and continue moving up the rungs. Yesterday my DD (10) made my coffee with a T of real sugar. So you are in good company....LOLOL! Or is that bad company?? LOL!

                          Hey Brittni,

You're right, I was looking at the August calendar. LOL, That's is great, 4 more days than what I was thinking you had.

Also, both my daughter and I are lactose intolerant. DD has constipation from it, and I have the opposite. My symptoms have completely dissapated since I started this diet. We found, thx to DH, that it was the processed dairy products that were causing most of my problems. I can't tell you how much this one symptom relief has changed my life! Iv'e actually been experience constipation for the 1st time in years. And let me tell ya "it's aweful". So DH, again comes to my rescue, and puts me on the "Ultimate Colon Cleanse" (you can find it on NaturesSecrets.com). And even though this is my 1st day trying this remedy, I can already tell it's working! And oh, a bonus, with the waste removal it is expected a little bonus weight loss.

My Sunday official weigh in day will be quite interesting to say the least! I'm hoping on a little magic!

Hey Elsie, this is all I have to say to you: LOL!

Dang I had a whole section typed out!!

Holding...if one was to stay on extended induction until one lost their weight or to loosely follow the plan until their weight was off then 'go off' the diet and back to the way they were eating that got them fat in the first place and yes the weight will come back on. But that is true of any diet you follow. But Dr A was a smart man and he had years and tons of people to test this WOE on and he gave us a book to follow with instructions on how to do each step so we can learn how to keep it off. He teaches us how to add foods back in to our bodies so that we can learn what works and doesn't work with our bodies so that by the time we get to maintenance we stand a better chance at keeping it off. Very important life lessons to be learned on OWL.

There are quite a few people here who even though they are at or near their goal weight stay here and help the rest of us out. Elizellen, Not2late, 2Big, Mitzi, Tdriver are just a few that come to mind off the bat.

There is a success forum with some inspiring stories here.
